Sticking to the point, in my limited experience, I see teams bring out their tanks and fighter jets when they face Barca and roll over like wimps in stoppage time against Real Madrid. Just being Honest.

Spanish commission of issues to do with violence, racism, xenophobia etc. in football wants Spanish FA to take action against heat that Mourinho and Preciado released. No specific decision was made up to this point. Valdano and the club said it's disgraceful, they back Mourinho up 100% and Valdano said it's Preciado who should be sorry for throwing trash over Mou. Sporting board just said they are unhappy that this has to carry on, but they will give Preciado their support.

Mourinho's comments were technically correct, but I believe Sporting had 3 games that week and decided the 2 weekend games to be of more importance as they stood a better chance of getting points, so rested a few players for the Barca game.

But it's a squad game nowadays and tbh plenty of teams in la liga this season will decide to prioritise games where they have one of the big 2 and a weaker team in the same week.

Though it is hypocritical for either barca or real to complain because they both benefit from this in the end really.
