.. Let's see how good he is in an official game ;) .. so far he hasn't convinced me with anything except being a bad version of Pepe
Di Maria & Higuain were schooling him all night

Real's hompage:
... The Whites continued looking to cut into the lead, and on 38’ Cristiano was fouled inside the box by Valdes as the two battled for a ball, but the referee failed to award the spot kick.
... but ten minutes in Villa made it 3-0 in a clear offside position.
...but everything went Barcelona’s way. ... Sergio Ramos was sent off after a tackle on Messi and a confrontation between players from both sides ensued.

dude I agree that Carvalho was an ok buy but Silva like Pepe ? He is totally another type of defender. Actually Silva to me is more similar to defenders like Nesta than to Pepe. Yes that much. Pepe is the most extreme defender when it comes to liking to tackle, Silva does everything before he even thinks of tackling. Also he is a very free defender likes to sweep the area. Saying he is a bad version of Pepe is even worse. Just watch Silva in the Auxerre match and you will get the best example at the type of defender Silva is.

As for saying you got the best of Milan, sorry man but it wasn't due to Silva's incompetence. First in the Bernabeu match this year he didn't play and that was the game that Milan's defense got broken down. Anyway in the second match he was Milan's best defender by far. Not only that Milan played a very exposing formation ( like it was the year before) you are complaining about Madrid' formation against Barcelona, but at least Madrid were at any given time 10 behind the ball, always much less pressure on the defenders plus the midfield is actually young, so how do you explain having to deal with Madrid' offense when having the midfield exposed ?

Also I like to blame Mourinho for yesterday, but he played like all teams that trouble Barcelona do, high pressure to dispossess Barca. The players are not up to it especially in such a big game, even the defenders don't have the attitude of that of Lucio and Zanetti. Barcelona were also in their best form probably ever so it's very hard to blame the coach in this. Also when he learned that his team can't keep up with Barcelona he played more defensive and the players started pressuring from further back, but it was kinda late. But opting to play the way he started the match was just his way of looking for the win instead of the draw so he isn't really at fault.

I think in the next Classico he will play a very defensive formation like that he did with Inter last year but by that time he would want to perfect the defense.

This game proved that Barcelona is supreme in Spain. They represent everything thats good in modern footbal. Attacking style, homegrown talents, unity and friendship among players... Real Madrid does not deserve to play against Barca.

Antoine , even Garay would look great vs Auxerre . i think we will settle it in the KO round ..
i still need to see if he that good cause till now (and Sergio know this before we even met this year ) he hasn't convinced me in our game (the first goal was his screw up ) or did you forget the 3-2 and 4-0 from United last year ? those 7 goals he was playing in both games and screwed up again in his marking several times
so many defenders over the years were hidden under Nesta , Silva is no exception ... wait till Nesta retires

To be fair to him his mistakes have been decreasing so much recently that Milan fans are considering him even superior to Nesta at this point, also I was more so describing what type of defender he is. As for Manchester United he was as much as fault as Nesta to be honest and that isn't an attack at Nesta but Milan also played so exposed last year to an extent that Leonardo put an AM instead of Ambrosini and put Ambrosini as CB although the starting formation was exposed enough as it is. You have the right to not regard him as a top defender especially that Milan still haven't really went that one step further this year, but bare the last match against Sampdoria he has been the best defender of Milan for almost every match he played in, and in the Madrid match as I stated despite the formation's flaws he was Milan's best player (after Inzaghi). Also I only referred to the Auxerre match to describe the type of defender he is and I do agree Auxerre are very weak technically and it isn't a test but I would like to reinstate he is so unlike Pepe.

Mourinho suspended for two games in Champions League for the cards against Ajax....

Ramos gets one match regular ban in league, nothing in CL. He got cash-fined though, so did Xabi.

This ship has a breach and I have a feeling it might sink if no-one changes anything in the way things go.

Following the opening of disciplinary proceedings concerning the improper conduct of Real Madrid CF coach José Mourinho and players Xabi Alonso, Sergio Ramos, Iker Casillas and Jerzy Dudek during the UEFA Champions League Group G game against AFC Ajax in Amsterdam on Tuesday 23 November, the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body dealt with the case today and decided the following:

The Spanish club's coach José Mourinho has been suspended from coaching activities for two UEFA club competition matches, of which the second is deferred for a probationary period of three years. He was also fined €40,000.

Players Xabi Alonso and Sergio Ramos were fined €20,000, Iker Casillas was fined €10,000 and Jerzy Dudek was fined €5,000. The red cards given to Alonso and Ramos stand, and they have therefore been suspended for one UEFA club competition match.

The Control and Disciplinary Body has decided to fine Real Madrid CF €120,000.

An appeal may be lodged against the ruling within three days of the dispatch of the reasoning for the decision
