Hi guys, long time no see.
2 things about el classico...FINALLY and it was obvious!!!
Mourinhos "once fantásticos" became 11 headless chicken. I seriously hope, that people come to their senses now, wake up and smell the coffe (as gio would call it
).
IMO People got blinded by all the results Mourinho was able to get, not noticing, that in fact, the changes he made regarding the team, only took place in the starting XI. Meanwhile the bench players were sort of left out completely and mourinho created himself a huge gap between starting XI players and bench players. In short, no what you call a united TEAM.
The bench is full of players Mourinho doesn't care about or doesn't count on. Lass and Momo practically don't exist, neither do canales, pedro leon or granero. Only exception, Benzema. Mourinho has been so far up Benzemas ass ever since he arrived, trying to motivate him and "turn him around for good", that he completely forgot about/ignored the rest. Players like canales or pedro leon would have needed that very same support badly, being "the new ones" and very young at that.
Yesterday, as a result of that treatment, Mourinho had absolutely nobody at all on the bench ready to come in and change something or even turn the game around at hlaf time...hell, he didn't even have someone on the bench able to score goals!!!
From the new players, the only one that really convinced/impresses me is Di Maria. I never entered all that hype regarding Özil. He is just as inconsistant and "low profile" at Madrid as he was at Bremen. He dissapears for most of the time, showing some great football and skill (i'm not arguing his talent) every now and then. a total of say 5-7min each game, if that. So far, this is the Özil i know from the Bundesliga and didn't want to join Real Madrid in the first place...quite and disappeared most of the game/s or the entire game/s (like it happened yesterday), but as soon as he has his 1 or 2 good moves, he's labled as brilliant, future world player etc...IMO, a few good moves per game is not good enough for a club like Real Madrid.
And i still claim Mourinho is using him completely wrong. He's not a playmaker...his best games for both Werder Bremen & Germany came when he was placed on the left wing. He should fight for the LW spot with Di Maria and Mourinho should think about getting both Kaka & Canales ready for the playmaker role/spot. It really was a pain in the eye yesterday to see !!!LASS!!! playing in front of the two No.6 players, trying to act as playmaker and failing badly on the attempt to move forward with the ball. If Lass & Özil are your only playmakers, you play the wrong system and made bad choices during the transfer window IMO.
Now that reality came back to Mardrid, i'm curious to see how they will manage their problems. Mourinho deffinitly has to close the gap between bench and starting XI, focusing more on players like Canales, Pedro Leon, Kaka & Granero (maybe even Morata, now that Higuain seems to be injured for quite some time and Benzema is still a complete failure) and their respectiv selfesteam, rather than to keep climbing up Benzemas ass...it's pointless, he won't change for good more than 2 or 3 games playing
as substitute.
The midfield is a complete mess!!! Gago: long term injury boy, Lass & Momo don't count and Khedira strikes me as not ready
yet to be "the untouchable" starter alongside xabi alonso...though, Khedira gets the job done!!! Yesterday, the midfield had no chance at all. There was huge space between the Madrid players, preventing any sort of gameplay or building up an attack.
Time will tell how things are taken care of...bying almeida, lukaku or adebayor during winter transfer window is not the right way to take care.
