The least of RM's problems was the offensive performance of their forwards & midfielders. They had the ball in the forward area too rarely.

FCB had total midfield domination, even though RM does not have a weak midfield. The defensive performance by the FCB forwards was devastating, how many balls did they take away? The RM forwards do not seem to play any defense, they rest. Messi spent a lot of time in midfield, and he wreaked havoc there.
I disagree, the offensive performance of our midfield was absolutely atrocious. Yes you took a lot of balls away, but how many easy balls did we misplace? We couldn't keep the ball for even thirty seconds, no matter how well your players are positioned defensively (in this case, they weren't well positioned either but that's not the point), if every ball you take away comes back right away, they'll overrun you.

Turns out Higuain was carrying this Hernia for the last 5-6 weeks according to our Doctor statement ..

So what's the verdict?...Will Benzema be shipped out or will he remain?...A month or two ago, I would've said he was being shipped out...Now, less certain of that

Both stay, unless Benzema doesn't do jackshit in the upcoming months to change his status, then he would be off to MU/Arsenal in summer.

I wonder if Mourinho will think of selecting Alvaro Morata to the first team due to forward issues. Surely Benzema will start in the upcoming weeks so we need a forward on the bench. I think the kid deserves a chance.

The prospect of Mou relying on a cantera player going forward has to be pretty remote...Nevermind Perez et al...They will have to buy someone in January

Yeh but those things can be improved. That's essentially mentality, the crappy passes going astray, the lack of pressing etc, they had a shit game and probably wont play that bad ever again. Defensively though, yeh. You cant expect any team to dominate the midfield vs us, that's not a statement of arrogance, that's just how it is. We win the midfield battle so teams have to be prepared to defend deep, and play physical, Madrid wernt anywhere near physical enough in the first half, they just let us play. Then in the second, they just got pissed and played dirty.

Not relying on cantera. It's just the case of having a free spot in the team for two months, not literally free, but forward spot needs to be filled, especially if Cristiano is really going to miss Valencia game.

Pedro would play on right wing, but if we were to play without both Ronaldo and Higuain we would be extremely lucky to come away with any positive result from Mestalla, that includes a draw considering the morale and the formation still in pieces and worsened by injuries. It's going to be very hard for us to score unless Di Maria, Ozil and Benzema step it up.
I don't believe that Ronaldo will be out for Valencia, but I still think we need a canterano to join the squad to replace injured Higgy.

Mido, these wouldn't make sense at all. Granero is being played as a box-to-box midfielder more often these days playing next to a CM. Leon can't be the one to rely on in terms of scoring, even though he deserves to feel that he is needed in the team. Ozil is the source of our attacking creativity and we need him to play wherever he is comfortable.

And Pepe ? He has learned how to handle the pressure and becomes more professional each time we see him. He might still be considered a douchebag and an animal, but he becomes the Carvalho type of CB. He is more agressive, more confident and has much more self-belief, he makes successful tackles much more often than earlier. He is a very good player and I think he wouldn't do as bad against opposition any other than Barca if he and his partners supported each other properly.

I was just suggesting some options, the last time I saw Granero playing was one year ago,I can see Ozil as a very good material of a false number nine to be honest
