Falcao is definitely not one of the tallest but I think he does hold the ball well... Also he's got nice aerial ability!! So he might actually not be exactly like Higuain. Just my view though

The plan Estel is clear..
Get a player who don't need time to adapt and cheap and not an obstacle to leave once the season is over.. comes summer annual revenues are here/transfer kitty announce Llorente

Actually Moe they are convinced but not for this winter.. that's the whole problem
we feel summer provide a lot bigger spectrum and all clubs are willing to sell and everyone not cup tied .
the board are only convinced with one player.. and that's Ruud due to (and i quote the news reports )

1- he won't need time to adapt
2- speak the language
3- know the players
4- cost virtually nothing
5- provide no long term career threat on the current players..

for Valdano it's Ruud or none.. Jose actually wanted Hugo Almeida.. a cup tied Portuguese striker who was out of contract in the summer and share the same agent as him , Di Maria,Pepe and CR (and Carvalho i think ) ..
Valdano also felt it's not wise to have so much players represented by Jorge Mendez , it means all negotiation for renewals will put the club in a weak position and they will represent a power inside the club

Actually the board's plan is quite good too... They might anyway be considering this season as a transition period, with so many new-comers in the starting XI(Ozil, di Maria, Khedira, Carvalho). And moreso after the thrashing at Camp Nou. So they would obviously like Benz to be integrated into the squad by the end of the season, me thinks

if Benzema is injured what are we going to do ? CR is not suitable against some tactics and putting such pressure on young Morata is killing him .
we will need to secure a loan or get Ruud.. and we just have 7 days to finalize all

If Real was another club, you would have included Morata way earlier, as we did with Pedro or we are doing with Thiago. If yo uwould have played him in some Lliga matches, he wouldn't have felt the pressure AS much...

well depends on. not in the beginning, it's not seen as a transition period but it becomes it when people realize that the players bought really aren't / can't play as good together as they used to in their previous teams. => shit in the end.

a transition period for me is when a club makes young buys, doesn't aim for 1st place. real defo aims at first place and copas.
