So they say...
as they said several times i feel Valdano will step down end of the season on his own for the good of the team , that's Valdano for me

One slight problem

Gonzalo Higuain

IMO it would be a big mistake if Valdano steps down in order to make way for Mourinho. In 1 or 2 year from this summer on, Mourinho is almost certainly gone and the club would be left with only Pérez...no good!!!

Running a club as big and as ambitious as Real Madrid, Pérez & Valdano can't afford to just blindly trust in Higuaín coming good and be back the way he was. They need some sort of plan B in case shit happens. Or else, come next winter, they'll find themselfs in a very similar striker problem situation to the one they face at the moment. Making the same mistake twice or at least a similar mistake, isn't healthy at all.
Personally i hope Higuaín comes good...he's always been a fighter and i expect him to fight this through until "the happy end".

Also bare in mind, that certain circumstances are not yet totally clear. Mourinho might still walk away instead of Valdano this summer. Then there is the system that has 1 striker only. Will that current system be used further or will there be another change? Kaka' staying or leaving is also left to be seen. A change back to 2 strikers may very well be the result of a possible change in system...thus aiming to start both Agüero & Llorente, while bringing back Higuaín little by little as a sub, until he's fully fit and ready to fight for 1 of the 2 starting places.

you have point there for Higuain but i try not to think about it..
Higuain feels like our homegrown for me .. we saw him improve year after year .. it will be like losing De La Red if he didn't regain his form :(
David N'gog ;)

Real could pay all of Ade's £140k a week. Cheers.

It will put him in the shop window too. After all Beast's moaning about "adebarndoor" he will finally get to watch him every week if it goes through. :)

Ruud Van Nistelrooy message to Real Madrid fans :
"After what happened last Sunday, "I can only say thank you. The love I have always received from the fans is amazing and what happened on Sunday was impressive. I have no words, I'm moved ... What I experienced at the Bernabeu throughout my career has been delightful, but what you made me feel these past few days I will never forget. "
"I will always carry Real Madrid and their fans in my heart. At the end we failed to reach an agreement and I will continue defending Hamburg colors, but Real Madrid will always be a part of me."
"I hope Real Madrid achieve all of its objectives. I would love to see them win all the titles and, above all, the tenth European Cup, which is the dream of all the Madrid fans. "

Sorry love, but you are paying half of his salary :)

it will help you sell him no doubt... and please be sensitive and don't remind me
i tried to cheer him so we fail to loan him (not to repeat Benzema story all over again ) but looks like it was too late :axe:

Well media here reporting that we won't let him go unless it is paid in full. Adebayor doesn't have the work rate for the PL, you never know he could have decent few games and you end up buying him. :)

Ode to Django

You're not even a real journalism
lol Adebayor surely isn't that bad i've seen him play well a few times and his goal celebration against Arsenal was epic

He's not that bad, it's just he should never be a lone striker. Maybe it will be different in La Liga as you don't have to run as much.

I don't like to imagine that scenario either regarding Higuaín!!! But Pérez & Valdano have to and thus need to be prepared. Which is why i can fully understand the thinking and logic behind signing both Agüero & Llorente.

Just imagine something like this...i might ease the pain.

---------------Parejo-----Xabi Alonso------------------

Cristiano----------------------------------------Di María

-----------------------------------Agüero--------------

-----------------------Llorente-------------------------
