No one is calling for Raul to play , not even down the streets of Madrid.
Tim reported while he was watching the classico the reactions made when Raul played
Piss poor before the second half those 4 goals can give the required confidence ..it's down to confidence not lack of finishing

Pellegrini is such a weird guy:
"His double booking was fair because he took his shirt off and because he was involved in a series of fouls. He is nevertheless a creative player who doesn't deserve to be sent off; other players make many more fouls and never see a red card."

Last weekend Real was better in every aspect of the game, now Ronaldo doesn't deserve to be sent off because he is a creative player (although he calls the double booking fair?), what's next?

CR apologized for his team mates and that's what matter for me ..
Manu is still overwhelmed and strikes me as someone who got his plans crashed out and trying to figure out an alternative

indeed...which hopefully will prevent pellegrini from starting him!!!

confidence sure is one factor, but i disagree that it's the let's say "only" one...just look at the strikers that are currently available (ruud injured and as good as gone)...

- raul is more running around like a headless chicken than he is in position for finishing
- benzema is missing easy ones like a habit during the (so far) season
- higuain is the best bet in the striker department, but when it comes down to his finishing/1 on 1 you never know what you get. one time it's brilliant and in the next moment you have no idea how a player of his caliber could miss a chance like that AGAIN. he's still a regular on missing easy chances.

and players like kaká & cristiano need a bit more time to score regular. one due to adaption and the other due to just being back from injury.
it's not like the finishing was just a problem yesterday against almeria in the first half.

it's more like he doesn't deserve to be sent off compared with other players making more fouls and get away with it. like the almeria player he kicked...no one seems to care about that one punching cristiano on the back of his head, cause he got frustrated by cristianos circus tricks the moment before. he got nothing for that, it's not even got meantioned.

It's never mentioned. It's constantly like that with top players (Messi with that Welligton for instance, or Navarro of Valencia)

The almeria defender should be punished. But it doesn't mean that a creative player should not be red carded. He deserved his red, simple. Pellegrini should just have said the provocation should be punished as well. And that's something different than he has said.

Anyway, will Ruud ever play another game for Real? he is unjured now but the winter transfer market will soon be open .......

Ruud is still injured same for Guti & Metz.. but Ruud could leave in the winter

That's why I ask it. He could leave without playing another game for Real which would mean his last game was Alcorcon right? That would be very sad for such a career/player.

He isn't a spring chicken and as i said the direction is to have fast players neither Ruud nor Raul ( or even Negredo ) are fast in comparison to Benziza,Higuain ..etc

of course, if you wanna play CR up-front then raul/ruud/benzema is the best foil for him as they can hold the ball and lay it off, rooney style. higuain can't hold the ball for shit.

but higuain is the form player, and basically the only reason pellegrini is still in a job. so you can't drop him.

selling ruud would be a mistake, IMO. no one scores goals like him. anywhere. since the 60's.

A goal and an assist Kev...

Ruud wouldn't be a mistake if tactically we can't use him , i'm sure he can score a bundle but lets face it he is injury prone & 34 years old who doesn't want to stay on the bench and doesn't deserve to be on the bench but u wouldn't put him as first or second choice , for the long run Benziza must find his feet & form

Benziza will come through but for a project that wants instant success in order to continue, Benziza does not have the required intillegence to adapt to the lone striker role at Madrid where he needs to stand in the middle not at the corner of the box.
