what has Xabi done all season ? nothing .. he didn't even earn that penalty
he barely assist , barely disrupt play , rarely build up a move
he want to score a goal he should earn it or even better start shooting accurately, Xabi is not one of the top 2/3 in the club in shooting penalties

I'm no Ronaldo fan but I have to agree. The first penalty was already taken by Kaka so I think it would have been fairly normal to let Ronaldo have it. I mean, it would be weird if the same situation happened with Messi and Busquets for instance (i don't know anything about Busquets penalty skills though ).

In terms of disappointment/value of transfers it is for me like:

Kaka
Xabi
Granero
Ronaldo (I just put him last of the big money signings)
Albiol
Arbeloa
Benzema (he actually surprised with his goal tally)

Same thing happened with Benzema- the first game Ronaldo got sent off. Benzema had been having a really bad run, and really needed the goal he scored. The whole team ran right over to give praise and give him confidence- to make him feel like he was important to the team etc. Ronaldo sulked away and didn't even celebrate the goal. Becasue he was pissed he didn't get the goal himself. He is seriously a selfish, self centered, inconsiderate, idiodic twat.

Er, my thread wasn't intended as a poll- but a place to vent at players who annoy us and discuss players who we like. I just threw in a few poll options.. for no real reason other than curiosity. wtf is wrong with making a thread to bitch? we do it everywhere else lol.

I disagree Sallou.. a striker gains confidence by goals which is why it could have some value for Benzema but if Xabi went all season without scoring no one cares (same for example as Iniesta or Xavi ) his job is to orchestrate the midfield and do the required build up from the midfield ..
that's why Xabi scoring means nothing to everyone while a goal drought forward like Benzema may need such a thing.

I both disagree and agree beast. Most MF's don't NEED goals for confidence (depending on their role), like strikers do- but it is still important- but I still think that if a teammate hasn't scored (and you've scored lots) and asks you for a pen (which will still get you an assist), even though you don't have to feel obliged to give them it- it's still pretty douchey to sulk and walk off.

Anyway- I think you may of misunderstood my post. When calling him a selfish idiodic twat- I was reffering to the Benzema incident anyway, not the Alonso one. ^^
