its about confidence beast, the most important thing a footballer can have.. no matter what position

confidence for DM's/defenders is different .. no one look @ Momo Diarra and say oh look in 4 years he hasn't scored a single goal
for strikers i understand not for a DM /CM who is trading water since the season started and getting carried by his team mates

I both disagree and agree beast. Most MF's don't NEED goals for confidence (depending on their role), like strikers do- but it is still important- but I still think that if a teammate hasn't scored (and you've scored lots) and asks you for a pen (which will still get you an assist), even though you don't have to feel obliged to give them it- it's still pretty douchey to sulk and walk off.

Anyway- I think you may of misunderstood my post. When calling him a selfish idiodic twat- I was reffering to the Benzema incident anyway, not the Alonso one. ^^

understand your point now Sallou , it's just Xabi really really getting on my nerve this season for his clear lack of effort in most cases
everyone love him but he needs to start to get stuck in the game more and do his duties more

That what everyone hope to see Sallou , the problem with Xabi frustration is that every single football fan in the world know what he is capable of doing and at the same time not doing anything close to it this season.
it's a big disappointment and we can only hope the Xabi we all saw with Socidad and Liverpool will soon appear cause if he regain his form Real midfield will be really really hard to beat

Don't think you will thrash them Gio. I could believe a 3-0 scoreline, but not a blitzkrieg of goals in the first half.

More like a goal in the early stages, a goal in the 2nd half, Lyon push and you then kill them off.

But if Lyon survive the first 20 mins and gain confidence then you never know....

just because you scored 3 goals don't mean you are killing them ...

it will be the likes of a FK , PK and a header .. they will score in the second half and the game will be on the edge for each team will be looking for the qualification goal
