Id rather ask myself what RM would want from him? He is a very similar player to Xabi Alonso, RM wouldnt gain anything new from him unless they sell Alonso. It could rather be that AS just threw in a random name from a current CL semifinalist. Schweinsteiger makes sense there as he is one of the key players for Bayern atm. But he doesnt make sense as a possible recruit for them.

Tren Xabi plays deeper than Bastian and Real play with 2 holders (which is Bastian new role under Van Gaal )

He plays a bit ahead of van Bommel, but thats b/c vB is the one mainly chasing opponents down while Schweinsteigers job is more like distributing the ball around. Schweinsteiger and van Bommel have a similar job sharing than Xabi and Masch had at Liverpool and Xabi and Lass proilly currently have at RM. Thats why i cant see them both complementing each other well if played alongside.

I've seen them both Tren this season and trust me Xabi plays almost ahead of the defense in Real , even Lass-Gago play further ahead of him and do the distribution most of the time ( i know it's retarded i agree )

IMO the schweinsteiger thing is just BS. it's like tennis...the game starts with ribérys sex scandal, followed by "news" that real madrid is still interested in ribéry despite the scandal, which is answered by "news" claiming bayern are watching real madrid outcast momo diarra very close, which is instantly answered by "news" that add schweinsteiger to real madrids priorities. now the ball is back at bayerns court...i expect the next "news" to be the revived interest of bayern in VDV - since he's quite popular atm.
