Well I cannot imagine Gerrard at Real Madrid at all, I will seriously be surprised and maybe a little disturbed if that deal goes through, but what is wrong with him as a player in general? I have seen much hate for him around here.
he's got a sketchy personality, involved in a few scuffles in his private life, and he's been arrested for GBH. I can imagine him at RM possibly at the turn of the summer, I feel this was his last campaign with the Reds, maybe it's crazy but he's been on the verge of leaving before. I don't know if the interest is there on behalf of RM though.

Can see him at another EPL club perhaps but not Real Madrid.

gio... are you serious about vidic? samuel mk. II if you get him. he's world-class but does not handle tricky pacy players well at all, and la liga is full of... what, class?selling lass for £25m is an AMAZING bit of business considering I don't think he's worth more than £15m, if that.

vidic's positioning is superb, though. it has to be, his recovery pace isn't top-class.
he's just a very physical defender who often treats ball and man as one entity to be cleaned out. this makes him brilliant in the PL, and he'd be brilliant in calcio too, but in la liga I reckon it'd be his undoing. I mean, we all saw how easily eto'o gave him the slip in rome. but I dunno, maybe he'd prove me wrong. he is an incredible CB, proven at all levels, it's just whether or not he's suited to la liga. you could at least give him his favoured number 5, though.

and piqué is a phenomenal defender. I think when sprinting at top-speed he's a lot quicker than you'd think, because I don't think he runs at top-speed a lot. his recovery pace is absurd (it gives me hope for chygrynskiy because piqué wasn't this fast in recovery when he arrived with us). and the way he handles CR is incredible. the only others who have handled him so well are cashley and assou-ekotto.

Dudek will be staying for an extra year , and Lass change of heart (and change of official push out from the club media ) on leaving indicate more & more Mourinho is the next man

if anyone should leave from the DM's it surely is Gago , as he is not Mourinho type..but i believe Momo will stay in that scenario as Mourinho love some African physique .. he had them with Chelsea (Essien , Mikel ) and with Inter (Muntari - Mariga )
if the negotiations are true we are looking towards a Vidic-Benzema swap and some cash on top of Vidic , looks like United are desperate to get some fire power upfront and i believe Evans rise will make the decision easier for SAF
