If he could sell those glitzy skyscrapers he is so fond of building - which he can't.

2009 - pre construction bomb. His companies wealth is tied to 4 skyscrapers they built in Madrid and now can't find occupants for.

people spending personal wealth on a team to make it successful?

perhaps i have a diff perception from seeing the poorness of argentine and brasilian teams

He don't spend from his personal wealth of course , but he use his connections and financial muscle ;)

ehm yes Benji people like El Fayed, Angel Torres and others spend on the team from their own pockets .. it's a different club model than Real /Barca..

Poorness is Argentina and Brazil are wealth compared to Mozambique & Benin .. but that's life and economy first and it affect the domestic league
Boca are very rich compared to clubs in Columbia for example same in Europe
so your percepation is flawed especially that you paid 120 Million in a year to get a striker ;) so in the SNL weekend update tone "Really ? "

that`s the point DM , personal wealth ? Can we question (if it is ) ?

btw what does the money do except all these signings and business ? if it`s Perez`s money we can`t complain , but when it is the capital of RM , we certainly can . anyone can....

Perez wealth is unquestionable, i think he's the richest man in spain. He's a great bussiness man, but his football knowledge is very limited. He's the visible head of the club, but he doesn't get involved in much, leaving all football-related work to his board.

In other news, Real madrid's board has postponed sacking manu. After a board meeting, to which Valdano did not attend, it was decided that the decision of weather to sack him or not would have to wait until next meeting (24th of May).

In my opinion, there are two reasons why the decision has not been taken: 1. Not everyone thinks mourinho is the perfect substitute. In fact, members of the board and a big part of the fanbase think Mourinho would mean the start of a new project instead of the continuation of the current one. 2. Madrid wants to have an agreement with his succesor (Mourinho) before sacking Manu. Given that Madrid can't negotiate officially with mourinho before CL final, it'll have to wait till next week

Like Berlusconi wealth then? You see he dropped alot to since the crisis, also for money tied up in construction. Perez is in hot water Gio, being the 3rd biggest construction company is no blessing when the Spanish economy is in a construction crisis - believe me I know. The company is tied to the 4 towers they built at the cost of billions during the boom, and now finished can't find occupants for. His wealth is tied to his stake in that company, hence why he had to go to Banco Santander for his latest splurge.

Caja Madrid

Santander as well.

Mourinho agreed personal terms with Real through his agent but the deal isn't inked yet , the decision was delayed not due to Mourinho CL final (which has nothing to do with Manuel sacking ) it's Valdano he has one card up his sleeve trying to find a solution ...
i will say no more for now but some would have put 2 & 2 together by now

Santander as well.

the skyscrappers are owned by his company which he has shares in but it has nothing to do with the man personal wealth , Perez is actually 10 times smarter than Silvio IMO
you have to take into consideration that Perez company doesn't just work in constructions of building but several other projects not related to housing man or construction ..

Get their financial reports of ACS they are far from being in hot water

his trip to Banco Santander is normal considering it's the club that need the money and as i said he use his connections , how many banks would give a 250 mil loan to a club in a global economy crisis if Perez is any way in hot water

Sergio .. Italian tricks don't work here (with me ;) ) .. he is not Silvio cool down
