Mourinho will play good football at Madrid, cules are trying to convince themselves he won't to hide their own insecurities about his hiring.
Yes Abaddon yes ...

Or we don't cause we actually beat him this year with that ultra-defensive shizzle in Europe, just because the referee didn't allow it. So I don't fear that at all. Furthermore it wasn't anything new, Hiddink did the same with Chelsea so it's not that Mourinho is something special. Plus with Real, we haven't seen anything else than that type of football versus Barcelona. The defensive play was there, the kicking the shit out of opponents was also there. And the super counter football player in CR is there as well. Perfect for Mourinho. I don't have any insecurities about his hiring, why would I?

Only, that won't be enough to be listed in the greatest sides, even if you win a treble. And that's the question: will Perez and co deem that enough? If so, it's a turnaround.

Greatest sides are remembered for their trophy hall not their football ...

If you didn't win anything but la liga last year you wouldn't call Barca current team a greatest side or center or anything .. just a good team who won la liga

hahaha those madridistas know no shame :D
btw so Madridistas are the definition of glory hunters.

try winning cups while playing football the beautifull way and break records in the process. That will be remembered, more than your dusty trophy cabinet.
There is a reason why people remember the greatest Brazilian technical players. Making a fool out of opponents by technical dominance. The rest is not original and will be forgotten.

I don't agree, it's both. You need to win and you need to do it in style and with swagger.

United for the pasts year were awesome, or as meta described it 'a machine' that won a lot a lot a lot, but it won't be remembered as one of the greatest sides of all time.

You have a future in politics, Abaddon
I'll take that as a compliment, I guess.

Oh my, what a load of crap. I guess Chelsea beat you last year in Europe, just because the referee didn't allow it (more than once).

you do know that not whistling when there 's an appeal for penalty is totally different to ruling out a legit goal citing it an offside, right!?

Our goal cancelled vs their offside goal not ruled out makes a difference of 2 goals and we could say ref fucked us!! Not the case with Chelsea!! That semi final was made a classic by the collection of 2 douchebags for referees, both the legs... or else I'd say we totally dominated!!

Scoring enough legal goals is something else than decisions taht could lead to a goal not going your way.

But I understand.

Certainly the case with Chelsea. 2 crystal clear penalties not given and another one that could have easily been called not given. All you have in return is a Henry dive, it's borderline hilarious that you even dare to bring that up.

It is not as direct but there is a high probability that the impact will be the same. Dismissing those calls against Chelsea just because it wasn't a direct ruling out of a goal, yet at the same saying you beat Inter but got cheated... absurd.

But of course, I know you understand this quite well.

No , admired but not labeled greatest .. the Inter side of the 60's was called Grande Inter based on their defensive solid tactics ..the French team that won the WC/Euro/Cont cup..not mouth watering football but one of the greatest sides to grace the football pitch ..Zidane + 10 in most parts same for Argentina in 86...
the United side last couple of years will surely be remembered as one of their best sides ever in their league

without trophies you will be remembered vaguely by those who watched football .. like the Denmark side of WC 1986 .. brilliant but people remember the weaker Dane's who won the Euro more

regarding Chelsea last year.. karma is a bitch and you got beaten this year for the same reasons ( according to some i will always consider Yaya move a handball ) , Inter beat Chelsea,Barcelona & Bayern .. none of them was a 1-0 victory .. deserved treble winners hands down

I love it how you cite henry's penalty a dive but rule chelsea as "Crystal clear". I also love how you don't mention Ballack's red-deserving tackles in both the first and second leg, the penalty after ballack hands the ball inside the box after a messi cross (2nd leg), Essien tackling a last-man messi, missing the ball completely and not even getting the foul call and Abidal getting a red card for a foul he did not commit (Anelka shameless dive).

Inter completely robbed us by having an offside goal allowed, a legal barcelona goal disallowed, 2 penalties ignored and, on a lesser scale, a foul to messi not called, leading to the 2nd inter goal. The only thing Inter have going for them is Motta's red, and even then, it was double yellow and not a direct red.
