madrid have treated pellegrini like garbage in this whole thing, the press, fans, and institution itself have been disgraceful. unless i missed something, the coach of real madrid is manuel pellegrini, yet mourinho is talking about the job like there is a vacancy there. a good man like pellegrini should never have joined this club. he surely deserves better.

a little update on the paper talk...

MARCA claims that mourinho is asking for either di maria or jesús navas in order to get back some gameplay over the wings. both are claimed to be put on a price tag of 40m € by their respective clubs.

meanwhile AS claims, that real madrid did negotiate for coentrao yesterday. while the deal for di maria is labled as done by the portugese press.

-------------------------------------------------------

coenatrao??? wtf happens/ed to david silva???!!! he is wanted badly by both socios & fans, but mourinho brings coentrao??? big tactical mistake...there is already a lot of madridistas pissed of with him as coach, but when he stops signing spanish in favor of portugese/SA/oldies from the EPL they ALL will soon feel the heat in madrid, IMO.

EDIT:

looks like this coentrao is supposed to be used as LB. he can play both LB as well as LW. who knows what they want him for...

My head was spinning last season on how the starting 11 was going to be made.... now it gets even worse. Mourinho might even have a tactical head ache

i don't think mourinho is limiting down his thoughts to the starting XI...he's more likely thinking about the team in total, baring in mind diffrent systems/tactics.

i also don't think that all these names are true. most of them are BS. you might actually consider not following this at all until all deals are done, cuase you might get a head ache from all the BS surrounding.

you are right about that. But I think rumours like Di Maria, Silva, Maicon are true. No Ronaldo/Kaka size signings this year unless Liverpool gets a total rebuild

these definitly are true. however, it's very hard to judge...inportugal they claim reals di maria deal is done and they are negotiating for contrao & david luiz. i wonder when they start linking javi garcia, saviola & balboa to real madrid. apperently benfica players are todays fashion

that signing was mourinho...but anyway, who did you have in mind as cristiano/kaká signing regarding liverpool???

Beast, see you state a transfer budget of 80 million for Real this year. Is that from a reliable source? You just seem adamant that is indeed the figure (you dont have to name the source by the way lol)

Yes it's our budget this season with the exception of Kaka/Benzema leaving

well, considering, that most players that are linked have a price tag of 30m € - 40m € slapped onto them (david silva, jesús navas, di maria, maicon, javi martínez etc...) and baring in mind that mourinho himself doesn't come for free, plus the recent movement towards keeping higuain, i'd say this looks like a very quite (sign 2-3 players for that amount) summer or very active (sell like hell and buy like hell).

I would like to be the first to thank Real Madrid and Florentino Perez in particular for basically handing next seasons La Liga trophy into Barcelona's hands. The signing of Jose is a massive, massive own goal and made for all the wrong reasons. As you will all know, it is dangerous to make a decision, especially an important decision, without a clear head. You should always try and be objective and leave emotions to one side. You should never make decisions in the heat of the moment which is exactly what Perez has done. It starts off right back when he first decided to take another shot at the presidency, an election with one candidate, and listens to his friends and takes their advice. Last time around I screwed up because my ego clouded my judgment. This time I am going to take a step back and let my man Valdano take the football decisions and I shall do what I am good at, make shady deals and turn a profit regardless of any thought to ethics. Here Valdano enters the frame, chooses Pellegrini for the role of coach (much to the dismay to Florentino, who wanted Wenger) and they set about trying to purchase the best talent that is greedy enough to take the bait. To be fair, Valdano does a great job and for about €300 million in comes, CRgay, Javi Alonso, Kakation and the rest of the mercs.

Pellegrini does a great job also but fails to beat Barca on two occasions. Valdano manages to convince Perez to keep faith with Pellegrini, even after the Copa defeat but after the second trouncing by Barca at the Bernabeu his fate was sealed. Perez now has doubts that he should have listened to Valdano so much and the little devil on his shoulder starts to chip away and the ego starts to return.

Then, and for me this is the pivotal moment, Barca play Inter and Perez can see the hatred we have for Jose, but more importantly, he see's how much Jose can get under our skin with actually not having to say anything. He has done more than enough to fill another life time in the past! Watching Jose run up and down the touchline a Camp Nou was too much for Perez and he would have called him as soon as he got to his office, now Valdano is just another voice spewing out white noise. Perez has the bit between his teeth and he is making decisions, Valdano will not be carrying on with HIS project any further.

Why is it such a bad decision? By bringing Jose to Castle Grey-Skull, Perez has lost the only voice of sanity in his entourage. With Valdano gone that ego will run unchecked and now there will be no go between the board and the coach. Jose will be promised the world in terms of control but it will never happen, Perez is back and as soon as the crowd start to turn on Jose (and they will especially as Barca will keep on winning) he will start calling the shots and picking the team like the good old days. Will Jose accept that? No chance. Fireworks all round.

The other and main reason for me that Madrid have handed us the title is that I believe that the only team that can stop Barca is Barca themselves. That is why all great team's cycles come to an end. It is very rarely because one of their opponents suddenly become brilliant overnight. No. It is because they lose their way, their motivation, their dynamic as a group. My fear for next season was motivation. Madrid could not have given us more of a reason to be fired up than signing Jose. For that I thank you with all my heart. Next season we will do the double and it will all be down to one man.

Thank you Mr. Perez.

I'm quoting this not to reply but to go back to it and taunt you same time next year ;)

You are indeed shitting in your pants from Jose .. if you would have criticized his football i would have joined the fun but "scoring an own goal " on a man who get under your team skin every single time gave you away :)
Jose will win something next season .. but i don't bet on it being pretty

what a post. agreed 200%. prosaic 1-0 victories are never enough for madrid fans, as it would not be enough for barca fans. but that is mourinho's specialty. and while he will probably find a way to unite them as a club, i don't think he'll last the season. you know what they say, the bigger they are the harder they fall. well i can't wait for the circus to start over at madrid! and at the same time, i hope pellegrini finds himself a good decent club, he deserves much much better.
