Beast, why would RM fire Pellegrini after one unsuccessful season and not fire Mourinho if he has a trophyless year? Is it based on reputation or was it because Mourinho was available.

I think you will win something next season. IMO main motivation would be for Mourinho to win the CL twice in a row with two different clubs (Would that be a record?).

It wasn't about Barca Joao , there is no shame losing to the current Barca team at all .. it's the Lyon , Alco ,Milan games and the game he showed in the clasico not the defeat ..
it's the lack of tactical idea's switching formations 4 times in one season the team never settled in , so it's not about the Barca game but all the games when it mattered /crucial
(P.s our record is 107 or 108 goals back in 89 .. Hugo fucking Sanchez :worthy: )

Ok, I agree with you... but the point is that FP put too many pressure in the team... after all, new faces, new coach, new president... all new...
about loosing, I recall you that Barça in 2009, after the 2-6 to RM, loose some games... even in december 2009, after the sucess in WC of clubs, Barça made some bad results... but ok, I agree that disapointment was too much, but perhapps expectations too big...

Yeah, he will stay.

When does Perez his reign end? Second term not allowed anymore?

Ends after 3 years and he can run for presidency but he need to do something in the first term so members can vote for him

Jose is the first high profile manager that agree to work with Perez (although Capello was about to do it before Perez resigned and he ended up coming to coach under Calderon ) , he is a "galactico " manager in terms of public persona and cult followers , The club would have given Pellegrini more time had he made a progress but at the end there is no progress made on any front and the "high " number of points can be misleading given la liga level
the general feeling is Mourinho can improve the players level and give a much needed leadership , plus Perez still want to wipe out the old image ..
it's a "start all over again with the same intentions -stability - but with Mourinho "

I was talking to a friend of mine, (Madrid fan) and he told me they cleared off the depts last January, I told him that's impossible. I'm right , right?

Sorry your friend is an idiot and you are right of course

Yes but if you noticed they didn't sack him after copa del rey exit , Cl exit , Milan home defeat...etc
they kept supporting him even when he benched star signings like Kaka he had the club full backing.. in truth is i wish Del Bosque had the same level of time and faith given to Manu this season
losing 4-0 playing your sub team vs 3rd division side that our Castilla team beat them was bad , so was most of the other games the problem is you hardly find a reaction from the bench ..
that's what you want from a manager .. a tactical change that switch your team completely (like Pep taking Ibra for Bojan vs Inter ..or pushing Alves back after the first half in the clasico and putting Maxwell upfront ..etc ) .. we were not prepared for most big games this season and that Manu fault

well, i guess in the end you have to give pérez & valdano credit for sticking to pellegrini the whole season!!! we all saw what happened in the past to the coaches and it is safe to say, that in pérez' first era pellegrini would not have lasted till the end of the season. in fact, he'd been fired after alcogate.

but i really have high doubts about mourinho being the right man in terms of stability. IMO, that stability will only last as long as SAF remains coach of man united. once man united call him to take over SAFs job, he'll be gone same way he left inter for real...instantly.

on the other hand, i'm more than curious to see what he will do to the likes of sergio ramos & kaká or even canales if he can manage to convince mourinho during preseason to keep him. it's said mourinho wants kaká to lead the team, like sneijder with inter, lampard with chelsea and deco with porto.

i rather don't comment on possible signings...makes no sense - the whole spanish flavor just isn't doable.
just get rid of benzema will you. replace him with a no. 9 striker that is diffrent from higuaín. cause in the end, benzema is nothing but a bad, lazy, spoiled version of higuaín without the will to fight.

Yeah... I supose You're right, at that point of view. Let's see if FP (or Valdano or both... or only FP) give the credit to Mourinho after some hipotetic defeats...

EDIT:

some "news"...

- moratti is claimed to have arrived in madrid this afternoon (italien press).
- de rossi would welcome a move to real madrid if the clubs reached an agreement and roma needs to sell.
- both diego milito & sneijder have denied following mourinho to real madrid.

My dear chap. Jatin, don't quit the day job. However Canada is a tough audience, you had some good lines but far too scripted. You have inspired me to do a stand up just for camaraderie.

Well, relax man. it is just RM vs. Cules.

Don't get frustrated. Mou is in the corner and it seems like the payback time is close. Keep it tight and do not go with the flow.
