Well i guess Perez managed to convince both Mourinho & Valdano to work together .. Valdano came out and acknowledged he was aggressive in his article and he explained that to Mourinho and said that Madrid need a "Mourinho -style character "
anyhow the other important thing is that he declared once again Higuain is " nontransferable "

But the wagon has moved, it is only a matter of time before he is sold. If not this year, then it is the following. That is what happens when the press decides to off load a player, it takes them about two years to get him packing, at best, 3.

He isn't staying on board for too long. Poor Higuain.

Thing is Beast, if your right about the 80 million budget, and i believe your a man of your word, that aint gonna be enough for both Gerrard and lampard. Im wondering if Mourinho is after one of them and is hedging his bets.

According to some sources in Madrid we actually made a 15 Million Euro offer for Gerrard which Liverpool declined as it fall way behind their evaluation of Gerrard (30 Mil ) ..
don't forget both are in their 30's so they won't cost much

They shouldn't cost much. But Gerrard is much more to liverpool than 15 million, he is truly the identity of the club. That is the reason why the Cesc deal is so complicated, and why players like Casillas, Raul, Giggs, Puyol, Totti, Del Piero, Terry, etc won't ever switch hands (i wanted to add Raul to the list but I don't know whats happening with him)

Agree 15 is little for Gerrard probably 20-25 but i do believe we should look for a different option .. club icons hardly flourish outside their safe zone ..

Well he is with the Portuguese national team which means he is recovering well , two players if they gained form they will be like new signings .. Pepe & Benzema.. i can add Momo Diarra to the list as well

pepe will surely improve Real's troubled center-defense. you really dont need Benzema tho, best thing for both would be if he was sold.

Mourinho gave an interview for AS yesterday, some key comments:

- Mourinho wants kaka in the team, he'd like nothing better than to bring him back to his form
- Guti out, still needs to talk to raul. Mourinho takes players for their word and guti expressed his will to leave. Changing his mind is not an option
- Ramos will be a CB, mourinho thinks he can make Ramos the best CB in the world
- no to coentrao, no to milito. Mourinho feels contren is a Portuguese version of Marcelo. He's looking for a different profile for the left back. "Milito is Inter's image, he should renew and get a good sum of money"
- Mourinho's expressed he will not allow valdano to go down to the dressing room to talk to players
- Mourinho's shopping list consists of 4 defensive players that "will help us attack"
- Mourinho will make every decision that involves first team: Training schedule, formation, starting lineup.
- Mourinho will install his philosophy in the club. He'll deliver results, but in his own style
- He admits that parking the bus is an option on certain circumstances ("we did not park the bus at nou camp, we parked an AIR bus, we had a great result to defend")
- He likes players in their 30s. He believes a player in the last years of their career bring a lot to the table. He likes both Lampard and Gerrard
- He likes Di maria, but he also recognizes he's a big fish in a small pond. He thinks 35 million is too much for a player in a smaller league
- He expects Cristiano, higuain and kaka to help in defense
