Stop embarrassing yourself, the man just won the treble with Inter and you're talking about how he struggled in the serie A? Seriously?
Yes, and it's true. I don't see how i'm embarrassing myself, I acknowledged that he's a great coach but that he's not infallible. Which is true... A couple of weeks ago Inter fans were shitting their pants because ROMA was winning the league. Seriously, Roma who get demolished every year in the CL... Your post is seriously shallow, you make no point, you just pose a stupid rhetorical question without making a valid argument.
My post was completely rational and balanced, it wasn't overly critical of Mourinho, i'm just trying to instil some calm in some of the Barca fans who are panicking a bit.
-Facepalm-
Beef, the team you are speaking off had a mental siege for years, very long years. To get them to win three titles is incredible and while he was exposed in Serie A it doesn't mean he didn't overcome the challenges. He isn't god, no one is. But he is very well rounded, and has acquired incredible and very valuable experience.
Just like player, managers need to adjust, and he did just fine. The drop in form for Inter came hand in hand with unforseen advancement in the CL and to be competing in 3 competitions at the same time and that the players themselves found themselves in an unfamiliar situation and panicked.
Yes, he has done a fantastic job and I don't see where i have said anything against that. But after Calciopoli Inter were GUARANTEED the titles, they had the only strong squad, they bought players on the cheap from the teams who were penalised, and of all the big leagues, Inter had the easiest job domestically. It was basically like putting Manchester United in La Liga and relegating Madrid, and taking points and money off Barca. Or Barca/Madrid the other way around, doesn't matter. Point is, the
real competition that Mourinho was faced with had a massive hindrance and it takes a while to recover from the impact of something like Calciopoli.
Again, i say this - he is not infallible, because he struggled in the league, and
yes he is a superb coach,
yes he is a superb manager, and a great tactician. But it is also foolish to think that Madrid will be all that more powerful in the league, because Mourinho is not infallible, I think his ego is too big to focus on matches against small teams and he therefore loses points.
I don't remember which Serie A match it was, last season, against some relegation fodder team, when he boldly said in the press that he won't care much for hte game since it's a guaranteed win, and what do you know, he lost.
That's all i'm saying - Mourinho is not infallible, especially against small teams.
Peter the level of managers in Serie A is way superior to the EPL & Liga .. they don't have money for big names but the managers are without a shadow of a doubt is way better ..
so your post is .. well .. far from the truth
Alright, but seriously, Inter had the easiest job of all leagues, due to the impact of the Calciopoli scandal. Anyway I feel i've explained myself in above posts. Coaches may be "way superior" in the Serie A but aside from Milan (and this year Inter), Serie A teams tend to flop in Europe, whether or not their managers are tactically superior or not.
