Still not official Gio and only being reported (with no quotes) by AS. €25mil would be a great deal, even with the canteros valued at €8/9mil that would mean the whole cost is €34mil which is still a fair price.

It will be interesting to see how he adjusts to a better league and what Mourinho thinks of him. He could turn out to be a legend or another Queserma.
I didn't say it's done i said almost done
well you are alright but so it the most accomplished player look no further than the Cassano,Kaka,Ibra..et

Van Der Faart is off as well by the looks of it. Drenthe will go as well, Metz has already gone, Guti gone, Raul (?) who else?

No he is definitely staying in Madrid and Jose intends on using him.
Indeed Jose want him to stay .. and yeah the end of the old guards this summer
In which position does Canales usually play, by the way? Attacking midfielder? Left Winger?
both AM & LM
In the hole. AM.

And the relation between Silva moving to City & Florentino Perez is ?

Choosing Di maria, a player that has never played in Spain and/or a "Big" team over Silva: perfectly adapted to Spain while paying the same amount of money is nothing short of brilliant.

It's the manager decision to pick what he likes .. and i think the basic fan would tell you Mourinho will accept no one enforcing a player on him .
The rumors of Silva was based on Kaka leaving not as a winger the wingers were either Navas or Di Maria and they did pick the later so Silva price in comparison to Di Maria bare no resemblance

And maybe you are a bit novice but Valencia would sell their players to an outside cheaper than Real Madrid due to the Mijatovic affair and applied in Mendieta case onwards

Di Maria or Navas always were contenders for the winger not Silva

the article states "OTHER OPTIONS FOR MOURINHO " it doesn't say it's Silva or Di Maria and Navas is third option and that's one of 4 lists of other options .. the other had Gerrard,Lamps..etc
.. again even i take your point into consideration i see no relation with Silva moving to City announcement today when all the press are talking for over 10 days that Real Madrid chose and finalized Di Maria , so why should Real buy another winger who play better as an AM , just to please u ?

We are quite as requested by Mourinho

let's say 1 or 2 full backs on either side and 2 midfielder box to box & enforcer plus what looks like Di Maria ..
it all depend on the price as i mentioned before we don't have that much cash

tbh the more I think about it, the more the di maria deal confuses me.

he's a winger who can play in LCM if need be. very good, great, etc.

but a winger who can play LCM... uh, marcelo? I suppose jose likes 2 for every position, but it strikes me that you have other areas which need strengthening more than this.

also ronaldo on the right is silly as gols are his best thing and that's easier for him from the left.

but eh, carry on!

Precisely the point I made about having both Di Maria & CR together and both being their best on that left side...Mourinho, both at Chelsea & Inter enjoyed very large squad depth so perhaps that's the thinking here
