Greetings everyone. As they say, first post is always the worst =]
I can see that the discussion on this forum is quite sensible and significant. I'm a Real Madrid supporter (proud of it :)) n I don't look for trouble in between all Blaugrana supporters. I don't have a clue if it's the right topic to introduce myself, but anyway, let's get to the point of current discussion.
You are talking about Schweini joining Madrid ain't ya ? Well, my point of view on the transfer of almost any of the German players is that perhaps it would have worked out as their players do have abilities and qualities needed to play on such a high (expected by Real Madrid fans) level, but I don't know, maybe I'm prejudiced towards their style. It seems to me like German players cannot play top level football when they are separated from their natives. I know it's not about country or anything like that, but it just looks like they can't do it out of Germany national team. That's what I think would be the problem with Bastian. I mean, he would probably get used to the style and everything around, but I don't think his acquistion would benefit the team in this particular moment.

Also, excuse my possible mistakes in English. I'm not a native and I lived in Britain for about 3.5 years (maybe sort of puts me in comfortable postition, lol). Will do my best ;)

Welcome to the forum! You'll find that you're not alone supporting Madrid in this thread.

Welcome mate , i didn't see your post
great to have a fellow Madridista on board , there is couple of Madrid fans here Nandor,Raed , Abbadon

I think it depend on the player character at the end ,we had very successful German players in Real before like Uli Stielike and Paul Breitner
although Metzelder didn't have similar success due to injury and lack of faith he still played some good games like the Classico in Barca 2 years ago .

It's down to the language barrier that help the player adapt , Anelka , Benzema failed in that .. if Schwini can talk English i think he will adapt just fine IMO

AS says - Barcelona has asked Getafe to start negotiations on right winger Pedro Leon (23), offering to include players in the 10M buyout fee.

I think he'd do well in madrid tbh. he'd certainly add another string to the bow of reial's midfield, and you know how josé likes his versatile midfield units.

he's a box-to-box midfielder with a great engine, decent passing ability and a knack for scoring.

he's basically maniche before all the fatness.

And they are not made off by me as well ;)
die from envy :p

AS report we made a bid for Sami Khedira after Rumminegge words last night and would be a lot cheaper as well considering this is his last year in contract

he would be a key player for you guys to pick up as he is better than xabi alonso and can link well with the attack also, if we did not have busquets i say we move for him
