Welcome. About Germans, what about Bernd Schuster then?
Well, Schusti played, lived and coached in Spain for as long as I can really remember (of course before leaving to Turkey) so that answers this question ;)

Also I've gotta tell you, there is no point in believing the crap that Marca and AS serve to RM and FCB fans each day, it's just not worth it. It's like believing in the news that Amy Winehouse is on rehab. Get real :]
Lately we were served a whole chunk of news towards Raul's future in Real Madrid, about him leaving RM for Schalke, about the deal already being in place. Before Jose's transfer we've been told that Guti leaves for Galatasaray which didn't happen (Guti will leave that's for sure because of announcement about Canales, but don't take everything for granted).
Same thing about Schweini, Khedira, Oezil etc. etc. World Cup isn't finished yet. Today we have the game that can turn the whole situation around. Prices can rise, contract speculations can start, anything can happen. Submitting bids for players at this moment now would be senseless.

Plus you hate them being your local rival ;)

Yeah... both clubs... RM and Benfica... I hate them...

But Like I said in another post, at this moment, the former preseident of RM, Ramon Calderon is certainly laughting about the decisions of FP: put "out" Sneijder, Robben... almost Higuain... and contract Kaka, Benzema, Albiol. Well and we musn't forgett that he was in fact who made the first step to CR9 come to Madrid...

Albiol has been fine if I'm not mistaken!!

Drenthe will be playing on loan @ Sporting Lisbon next season .

I feel we are hiring the entire Portuguese big boys as our own abroad Castilla :D

Ramos will be the Real player of 2010/2011.

It's time for Ramos to mature and fulfill his potential
so far he's been one off Spain best players this WC

Anything to confirm this ? :>

So far I've read an article in Marca about Drenthe being the second best winger on the trainings, but his problem apparently is that he can't do the same thing on Santiago Bernabeu. Every coach that comes has the belief in him and tries to bring out his best, that's why he is still there. Kind of a weird situation to be in, but .. well :)

I can't find the article in Marca's history anymore as there is only the one about Bronzetti not allowing him to be sold and some others.

Just.

That's the one but retranslated from a different language.

Damn, I was really wanting the Drenthe to Milan rumours to come through, I love his work ethic and pace. Going to Portugal Liga does feel like a step back in his career.

It's on AS (the more reliable of the two main papers ) , Costinha (Sporting Lisbon sporting director ) agreed on it with Mourinho

The club feels Drenthe could have a good future but he needs minutes and a year on loan with Sporting could be what he needs , regular game time and we can judge how far he will go
if he fails than he will be put for sale , if he improve than he can come back .
He is currently a step below the squad so playing at his level to help him improve is the best option
you & Juve were very interested in the kid

Maybe, but like I said after I saw him in the game at Sporting Gijon, physically he is already at the level he needs to be. Its more his technique both in defending and delivery he needs to work on. Am just not sure the Portuguese liga is of a high enough quality to help with that. More minutes is for sure a benefit though, which I imagine he will get plenty of in Lisboa. Good luck to him though.

Yeah. And Mourinho surely can get more out of him ...

He has the qualities to be on par with Alves and Maicon but you know ramos, he's just a stupid inconsistent douchebag. If he gets that out of the way and Mourinho can teach him his defensive knowledge, I'm very sure Ramos will be superb next season.

Yeah, but not consistent all the season... he was in different levels of form...

Mate, that depends of a lot of factors... of course that portuguese league is not atractive, but Sporting of Portugal (if that was the club i cause) isn't a bad choice... usually present in european cups and in many times they reached the quarter of finals of UEFA cups (winner of Cup of Cup in 1964; semi-finals in 1974; semi-finals of UEFA cup in 1991, finalist in 2005, quarter of finals in 1983-CL, 1986 - UEFA, 1988 - Cup of Cup, 2008 - UEFA and 2010 - Europe League, eliminated by the winner, Atletico Madrid). So... it's not a bad choice...

ramos should be a CB ffs.

forget being a full-back this guy could be one of the best CB's in the world and alongside piqué be part of the most dominant CB pairing since cannavaro and nesta were in their prime.

Who will attack from them? Both love to get forward.

they'll take it in turns.

I mean that is one weakness of the piqué/puyol duo, only one of them can play. if you have two rugged CB's who are dominant in the air, good at reading the game, have excellent recovery pace, AND can bring the ball out of defence? hot damn, son, you've got it made.

not to mention one is a powerhouse viking defender and the other is a more cultivated renaissance man.

god it's so perfect. there's literally NOTHING missing.

and then you have azpili and monreal on the flanks.

sautéd.
