Bild is as much reliable as Marca (who wrote about Khedira signing contract in Valdebebas, was it a week ago ?) or The Sun. What did Raul and Guti say about the date of their decision ? 25-26 ? Therefore, we should be patient and wait until that time instead of hailing Raul's performances as a former Madrid player. Personally I want him to stay for one more season, simply because I don't want to see him in a different shirt. I don't care about 67,000 p/w of his salary or something, money isn't the key and Madrid has enough of it to sustain the overload of players.

No Benzema wage is 5 million gross , i remember it cause it was mentioned so many times during Higuain negotiation (he wanted the same salary ) .
giving Maicon 7 Mil net is putting him in the same bracket as Kaka & CR and probably Iker .
clubs agree a salary if it's net it means he will get those 7 Mil and we pay around 2-3 mil in tax , gross we deduct from his salary it's a different naming at the end not a rule for Spain

Schalke have had excess money to burn for a long long time, so probably for a payday. Look back down the years at all the players they've bought for pretty hefty sums etc.

Schalke is actually piss poor after building a new arena a few years ago. Magath had a hard time getting any money for transfers this year. After weeks of public 'negotiations' between Magath and the club president they finally allowed him to inbest the future CL income of 30M into players.

Didnt the tax law changed already? Arent they back to 50% tax, which would make 7M net more like 14M gross?

Yes they changed the "Beckham Law " but i think it's more 40 % not 50

And the tax is somewhere around 43%, came from around 25%.

I never trusted Silva that much i think he is too much of a risk .. Carvalho is experienced and Jose man but will be another Cannavaro u can only get 1-2 years out of him \
Luiz will cost an arm and a leg.. this season looks like a last minute transfer saga
