So Carvalho wants to go to you lot, but he's too old and injury prone. Would be a silly buy.

Your boys also seem confident of getting Cole. Hopefully we can scam 30m pounds for him.
Ramos is confident , Ricardo will cost us around 6 mil .. i think if we took 2 years out of him i'll be fine but atm it's press talk and Ricardo own declaration that he would def. move to Real if an offer came along and Chelsea won't mind
Hopefully, surely that will only weaken the defence. But if we think this, surely Mourinho will know this - Mind you, his defences in the past haven't particularly been quick, apart from the odd fullback.
If you have a sense of positioning you can easily overcome your lack of pace.. see the difference between Shagmisskey and Pique
Are Madrid going to go back in for Chiellini now that the other targets turned them down? Or is it a case that Mourinho is now there - who having seen him more, realises he isn't all that?

lol Chielini is probably mentioned due to Juve interest in some of the departed players in Real .
but i never read any rumor from our sources regarding him , Juve would be stupid to do so and i don't believe they would let their best defender (when on form ) go

Agree on the whole Bayern/Khedira thing. The calculations are debatable b/c they dont take the contract length (or the time that the player is of use to the club, i.e. gives a return) into consideration. For that you would have to alter the calculations as following:

Khedira: 52M for 6 yrs = 52/6 = 8.7M / year

Maicon: 51M for 3 or 58M for 4 yrs --> 17M / year or 14.5M / year

And then you could still add the resell value into consideration in order to evaluate the investment. And that is prolly higher on Khedira than on Maicon.

well, the calculations itself do consider the time of the contracts (7m € * 6 years and 7m € * 3-4 years), if you know what i mean. but i agree, that the final number doesn't really show that, so sure, splitting the final number, thus adjusting it to the contract length, is another step you could take. by doing so, you also split the respective transfer fee.

i didn't consider the resell value, because real madrid is not your typical club when it comes down to making buissness by buying cheap and sell expensive. you know what i mean?

2 things though don't change at all!

1) it was never about comparing in order to justify one over the other. it's about the financial effort the club would have to make in order to sign player X or Y. in this case, maicon & khedira respectively.
2) the question wether or not these players are worth that financial effort. be it some 51,52 or 58m € in total or be it 8,7m or 17/14,5m € per year all things considered.

As long as he's fit he'll definitely be a good purchase, since he'll come cheap. But if he's as injured as he has been for the last 2 seasons, it'll be bad business.

When he is third from the bottom ahead of Jonathan and Jefferen i can't really say WOW sorry i was wrong ...

no one said he was a regular throughout the season, though.

he was playing fairly regularly until 1. his injury late in 2009 and more pertinently 2. his booing vs. sevilla in the copa.

which is backed up by the stats.

once he was booed, he was obviously dropped from the lineup. he was a project player and to expose him to such negativity this early in his barca career would be a mistake.

as it turns out sandro forced him out, so it makes no nevermind.

More like once everyone understood he is shit he never played again .
Pep is a stubborn man but (like we saw with Ibra ) there is a time frame for his stubbornness and than he was ditched

Tomorrow noon will be Guti press conference in which he will announce his departure after 15 years of service .
should be either very emotional or fucking crazy
Monday will be Raul announcement as well

Crap. I had Simone Inzaghi on my fb, even wished him happy birthday, then it turned out to be some kid in Indonesia and I was devastated. No way is that the real Royston Drenthe.

Ozil : "I'm from Barcelona as a child. It's the club of my dreams and I would one day play alongside Leo '

But, a journo from rac1 told me that Madrid is working hard to get Khedira , thiago silva & Ozil , most probably they will get them.

Edit: What is the status of Kaka ??????
