Jose himself said he want just 23 first team players including 3 gk .. so the squad won't be that big

I really like our summer movement , it's all about good,young , cheap players than big name signings .
no if we sell Kaka and get say Ozil.. the team will be much more balanced

If so what formation is Jose going to play to accomodate CRgay, Kakation, Javi Alonso, Higgie, Diarra 1, Diarra 2, The Granary, The Gallic Paedo, I live in Sneijder's Shadow, Lady Gago, Channels, Of Mary and Peter the Lion (sounds like a character from a childrens book!)?

4-4-2 would make sense but that us very unlike anything he has played before:

Well they certainly have the personnel to play pretty much any formation (without a LB) but whatever Mourinho decides on it is going to leave some people out. It will be interesting to see what he goes for and how he gets rid of the surplus players.

regarding the LB position, kolarov is sold to man city, marcos alonso is sold to bolton and i just can't see the club splashing out the 40m € that benfica is asking now for david luiz (thanks to man city). that kinda rules him out for both the LB and CB position.

I bet you had the same sentiments on Motta before you met Inter , i guess it's the second formation but if they sold Kaka the midfield could be a lot like this-

i think in the end there will be only 1 defender arriving. depending on the arrival, ramos will be shifted or not and the LB position will remain weak with marcelo only and arbeloa as the "shifted alternative". all those names are jsut options taken into consideration.

thiago silva & carvalho are IMO back up considerations in case the no.1 target maicon finally fails.

Jose ruled out Luiz yesterday saying Benfica is asking way too much . he acknowledged he won't be in our plans for this year
