TBF Wenger never spent £300m on players has he.

If I had the money I had at Chelsea or Real then I definitely expect to win trophies. If however I have no money and need to build a team than 3-5 years is not an outlandish suggestion to make.

Nope.. money don't win you trophies.. and he didn't buy as much in Inter and Porto aren't big spenders .. the two clubs he won the CL with
and Arsene had the money he just don't spend to hold on to his wrong moral highground he field youth even if they are not good enough just to make a statement , needless to say he had the squad and slowly everyone jumped ship winning nothing more than few local trophies dating back to 2005

he's not a manager that needs money to win, obviously, but it certainly helped him with inter and chelsea. porto, yeah, not a hugely expensive team but that porto CL win had an element of luck because all the big teams failed at the same time (which almost never happens) and the one big team they did have to face they only passed them because of a dodgy offside call and the refs not dealing with their immense diving.

anyway I think he's great and was arguing his merits when you were calling him a fluke exposed by the tactical genius of serie 'a', so y'know, either way is fine for me.

He definitely was a fluke in Serie A.. and was exposed several times in Serie A there is no denying that at all .. and we are talking about the CL in case you didn't notice
considering he did buy Sneijder (15 ) ,Milito + Motta (for Aquafresca , Bonucci and 3 other players ) , Quaresma (18 ), Muntari (16 ) , Mancini (13 ) and Pandev on a free transfer and even took money over Eto'o (49 Million ) .. he didn't pay much Meta .. from Inter pocket it's 49 - 62 = 13 Million Euro in return for a treble ?
not to mention the sales of Quaresma and Super Mario generated 40 Million this summer

compare that to Chelsea open bill ? 13 mil man.. even Arsenal spend more than that

Nope i said he was exposed in Serie A compared to the tactical naivety in the EPL and Mancio's Inter played a lot better and made the same result (first season of course )
