I mean it's a good win because IMO anoeta will not be an easy place to get a result this season. they're very tight unit and greaseman looks a right handful.

ahh I didn't know about the intense training sessions, hm, that could explain things. and yeah oezil started brightly and faded in the second half, which fits the idea of being tired.

so reial have refused the portuguese FA? man, he won't like that.

and higgers can't hold the ball, man, not to a high level. he's better than he used to be, but he's not a classic #9 and it showed yesterday.
@ Greaseman
you are right Anoeta is never easy ..i'm happy with the win not the display .. could have been avoided with some changes in the line up especially that we have Espanyol on tuesday and they are in good form .
yep he is having intense training sessions since pre-season which also explains the 2532252 injuries the players suffered early on, not my cup of tea in terms of tactical setup due the players are not yet ready for that early on but at the same time with just Thursday-Friday of training / resting muscles + trip to the Basque on Saturday they were all like ghosts except the defenders with the exception of Ramos who was AWFUL .
yep looks like we refused but i seriously hope we don't .. it's just 2 games and i put national duty so high up in my list i understand Jose position fully

Higuain held the ball a lot better in the couple of games played than he is given credit for .. he is changing his duties .. watch him this season though i prefer if he give them all some shooting sessions due to the easy chances missed by Higuain and CR..

higgers has been getting better at holding it since jose got appointed, really. he's trying to be good at it because he knows what josé likes.

as a consequence, however, he's not as lethal in front of goal as he used to be coz he's putting so much effort and energy into being a true9 which doesn't come naturally to him. he's still not the natural true9 that josé would want, but he'll do his best to plug the gap. he always does that. he's a hard-worker who just gets on with it. he did the same when he was being played wide innit.

and yeah, for 2 games I would let him take control.

I suspect you are spot on there Meta..
i mean Higuain go for Int duty and he score 10 times harder goal in Spain of all teams and with Real it's like his mind is somewhere else this season .
remains to be seen till when he can cope with his new duties and lack of goals @ the same time

Socieded should have got a draw out of last nights game, very disappointing. RM, while not clicking just yet, have already got in to the habit of picking points up when not performing well.

This stuff just isn't right. Canales is out for two weeks, because he mis-stepped (probably that's not even english word, but whatever) during training and Messi gets same time out after being brutally tackled by a football butcher. Ffs.

Well, I meant that so far Real players get injured more frequently and for longer period of time than Barca. Quite discriminative.

Anyway, team for Espanyol announced.
Momo Diarra pops back in for Canales.

Glad someone agrees that Ufjalusi is a butcher.

Lol yh. He will be a legend of a different caliber. Not necessarily a bigger one than SAF, but similar if he achieves success everywhere he goes.

His cockiness is somewhat annoying though.

Pathetic display vs. Espanyol that traveled in Madrid without 4 or so of their players.
I am confident that with this level of play they have no chance vs. us in La Liga.

Because of the refs..plus the fact that they will certainly improve on this(now by how much is a wholly different question) I believe that they have a chance in La Liga...now at the CL...they are completely hopeless....this team will melt like Ice Cream in front of Chelski or Inter....maybe even before Man Yoo and Arsneal...
