I'm confident we'll sign Robinho & for less than City paid for him. Can't complain if it turns out that way.
I was looking even recently at his ManCity highlights/goals and I couldn't fine one where he was celebrating with teammates...Every goal celebration is a spectacle onto himself...That kind of ego seems fitting for the circus in the Spanish capital, not Barca, IMHO.
You lot paid 32M pounds for him, yeah? Barça are hardly gonna pay that for a player who hasn't proven (yet) that he's worth what was paid for him. I'm not saying he'll go on the cheap but he'll probably move for less. As for Ribéry, he said he doesn't fancy a move to England so I dunno...
Mark Hughes has warned Barcelona that he is not about to ship out one of his "shining lights" as the European champions look longingly towards Brazil star Robinho.
The City boss said: "There's always speculation and noise surrounding Robi. Read the interview and the vast majority of his comments are positive ones about Man City and what's happening here.
"He made a real impact last season and scored goals for us under difficult circumstances when the team was not playing consistently well. He was one of the few shining lights last year.
"We're not in the process of taking outstanding players out of the team. We want to bring in outstanding players to complement the outstanding ones we already have.
"We don't want to move Robi or anybody else out of the squad. We're looking to build, we're not looking to dismantle."
We actually paid around the same amount of cash as you did for Robinho. The pound crashed, not the euro. And what we paid was eventually far below the original statements of Moratti.
So again, this feels a lot like Zlatan.
