Lol silly comment, why would people from Barca be on an English speaking Barca fans forum? The whole point of the site is that it's pretty much for overseas fans who can all discuss things in English together. It's not aimed at fans in Barcelona.

I live in a cave with donkeys. Any problem?

Wow, a cave! I've been looking for a cave ever since Martha Stewart had a whole show about caves. She came up with a bunch of clever ideas on how to make your cave more cozy and homely. You're a lucky man G!

is it a right vision for guadiola to eyeing robinho?

hello guys in the house, pls we need to let our coach understand that for now we dont need a player like robinho when we have very good young player in the team doing well for us like bojan and co.ther is no point in try to copy realmadrid madness for now. we have more than enough to show realmadrid that we are not their mate.there is nothing fantastic in the players they bought.is it angry ronaldo or frustrated benzema?honestly barca for now can win madrid over and over again at least for this present season.thanks:champions:

I was just wondering why people don't suport there local clubs anymore? No matter what league they're in. How small football is in their country. Pretty much everybody has a home town football team these days.

Maz is right. City fans find nothing more hilarious than when a united fan starts singing about how great the club is in a thick bristol accent

I started watching MLB a couple of years ago. I quite like the New York Mets. But i wouldn't say i'm a fan because i have no real association with them. I've been to New York a good few times but other than they have nothing to do with me. City however are in the blood and have been for many generations. I genuinely thought i'd find at least a few fans who lived in or came from Barcelona who also speak English.

I'm from Northampton and I remain a keen Northampton Town fan as I have been from the age of 9. Before I moved to Barcelona I certainly wasn't as committed to Barça as I am now but I'd followed them as a "foreign team" for years and since moving to Spain FCB has become my overriding passion because that's the team people are talking about on the streets, at work, in the bars etc. I don't like people who live abroad and cling on to their home culture taking no interest in what's going on around them.

Yes, he's an excellent player. But pato isn't a winger.

How isn't Pato a winger?! He plays much like one, but I guess I mean't to say on the left side of the attacking trident. Milan plays two strikers with usually Inzaghi or Borrdelli (?spel) with sometimes Huntelarr (hasn't played that well, then again he hasnt played much) playing alongside Pato. There is no defined center and two "wing" strikers like in Barcelona. For the most part Borrdelli and Inzaghi plant their ass infront of the net or with the last defender. Pato comes back for the ball and takes it down BOTH wings all the time, in fact he has to b/c the team is too rubbish to do it themselves. Labeling him as a center forward type is incorrect to the extreme, imo. Messi is considered a "winger". He is on the right side beside Ibra as his main starting position but he's all over the place...he just starts the game there.

CTID or whatever the Man C fan's name is. For the most part a lot of your points are correct. With the media involved however I don't see how you or anyone else can accurately describe what Robinho does or doesn't want. My opinion on that situation is- who cares?! It'll come out when/if it does. And for supporting your "home" team...why?! I live near boston and I like the red sox/celtics....but I also like the 49ers. I'm not even interested in MLS soccer and I love how Barcelona plays, it fits how I played soccer and I enjoy watching it....so I will.

Lastly- Silva/Pato are dream wing "striker" signings for me. Realistically for a little cheaper (bang for your buck) I really like Di Maria from Benfica (if you caught the Benfica vs Everton game you'd know why) and Pablo Hernandes from Valenica (imo a lot better than Mata). I wouldn't expect any less quality for a signing to Barca's current squad. I'd rather just start Assulin and get him some experience. I haven't seen him enough in live action so I dont know how impressive his speed/acceleration is. All I know is from what I've seen he seems like the most impressive prospect. I just dont like Pedro, he passes consistently very poorly. The occassional goal out of no where doesn't make up for an overall consistent poor performance imo. Jeffren has failed to impress me as well :(

Anyway just food for thought.

The argument of following a local team and a non-local team IMO is dumb. There is a reason ( of course success being a part of that too ) why clubs like FCB, RM, United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Inter, Milan have a worldwide reputation, and that is because of their worldwide followers.

any truth to this rumour.

06th November 2009

Manchester City and Barcelona officials will reportedly meet in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday to resume talks about Robinho's move to the Nou Camp.

The European champions want to take the Brazil international to the Nou Camp in the January window and will put three options on the table.

The first is a six-month loan, including a small fee and Barca paying his £160,000 a week wages, with the option of permanent deal with Barca next July.

The second is an 18-month loan with the move made permanent in 2011.

The third is a January transfer for about the £34million City paid Real Madrid for Robinho in 2008.

City owner Sheik Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan was initially reluctant to sell his first major signing, but will be guided by the wishes of manager Mark Hughes.

Sheik Mansour will receive a delegation of Barca technical secretary Txiki Begiristain plus director of football Raul Sanllehi and board member Albert Perrín.

Lots of us do. However, I feel you mix things up.

My local team consists of the butcher, the baker, two people who work in the supermarket, ... that would love to be a football player after their normal working hours. They play for a few euro a month, which they usually totally cash in for free drinking coupons to get drunk after the game in the bar. I believe they were champions once in the lowest division here, just to get relegated back to that division a year later and be stuck there till now. Without them feeling bad about it.

And then there are teams who play football professionally, make every boy dream about playing for them once in their lives, with players those boys worship, ... Those players have the best job in the world with the biggest salaries, they have a chance to get the most important prize (domestic or international) with their winning mentality. They play football on a high level, with tactics and individual class.

You have the luck to have both things combined. Just plain luck.

Moreover, just how local is your club actually? For you being born/living there very local maybe, but last thing I heard from City was that it was bought by some sheikh with too much money and spare time. Can't that be classified under the Bristol accent heading?

Honestly, I've never liked his personality much but considering how unbelievably ineffective our left wing has been this season I would be thrilled if he came in the winter. When on form he's a great player, theres no denying that.
