Two VERY positive things. Koeman said in a interview we lack runners and has too many ball to feet players. This is our issue number 1 and Koeman knows it.
Bartomeu said Koeman will be in charge of transfers. If he acknowledge the issue but isn't in charge of transfers then it doesn't matter.

I don't think managers fail because they do not know or understand football.
They are professional coaches. They obviously should all know what is wrong in theory.
But the reality is a lot more than just a theoretical understanding of what is wrong and what should be done.
It's all about how to plan physical/tactical training, how to transfer one's idea to actual field, how to handle and manage players, how to motivate players, how to improve players, how to manage political relationships with the Board, etc.
It's those practical moments that decide which managers succeed or fail, not because they do not understand the tactical issues.
