First thing he needs to do is remove as much of the older players as possible. If we continue with the same seniors in the squad, we can forget about trophies next season.
Koeman and Barto's comments are giving me a mixed vibe. I think people are going to be disappointed with the rebuild they're envisioning.
I got the vibe that he knows drastic changes are needed but clearly didn't want to point to the big names in the dressing room that need out.
Professional press conference. But now its time to be ruthless.
His presence is already more than Valverde + Setien x 10.
Whether he is successful or not remains to be seen, but you can't deny it's good to have an actual heavyweight heading our dugout. He's in the mould of LVG, Rijkaard, Pep, and Lucho and not a no namer like Setien, EV, or Tata.
Valverde isnt a no namer
Then talks about FDJ.
Take all those old players out and we dont have a team. Most of them will refuse to leave i guess and will sit on the bench. So no money for rebuilding the squad and even if they leave we wont get much money. This board made it impossible to rebuilt our squad. They even bought some old farts like vidal.
So with keeping the seniors, we won't win anything too, besides even if you bench some of them, the dressing room will be so toxic and clashes now and then with young players and the manager. Did I mention the huge salaries they will still earn while on the bench?
Selling them, forcing them to leave, etc. will leave us with the thin squad, youngsters mostly and maybe a few signings. Again, I don't think we will win anything, but no toxic environment, free huge salaries, can sign one or two players in winter transfer, you are now actually building a team for the future.
Which option is better?

If you ask me i would sell them all but we are talking about barto and his clowns. The situation will force koeman to play those old farts because we couldnt sell them or didnt have enough money to replace them.
We could dump Suarez, Raki, and Busquets and be fine. We do not have reinforcements in defense and attack. Alba and Pique, as much as I do not like these fukers, will most likely stay due to the market for LB being horrendous and top CB's being very expensive now. Griezmann and maybe even Coutinho need to stay and be regular starters. We may not have a proper striker but we could play like we did in 12-13 with Messi as false 9 with proper wingers.
In general, the yes men are those for whom coaching Barca is the only relevant thing they've done in their life.
All the others I mentioned, including Koeman, have already made their mark on football.
