What a coach. First la liga game in 20 where I thought we'd drop points, and he manages to pull off biggest victory thus far.

What is he feeding the players? Sure, handful of youth players and rotation helps but team doesn't seem to get burned out! Even with the five games we played that went into extended time.
Night and day with previous seasons.

Teams get tired, regardless of whether your midfield is a paleontologists wet dream or not. Also had an intense schedule with a game every 4 days. We have increased pressing and movement, this also over larger spells within the game. Thought team would've needed more time to adapt to this with problems of tiredness arising sooner and more frequent and us ultimately reaching a good physical level only starting with the next season. But team is managing really well overall and seem in good condition. Arthur would've felt more out of place among this group.

At least Koeman didn't make the same mistake his predecessors made.

Like yeah, we got rid of Vidal and Rakitic but we still added Pjanic was just about as finished as the guys we booted out. I thought we were going to see a nightmare trio of Pjanic-Busi-FDJ but Koeman had the vision to see that it would have been a disaster and eventually settled with Pedri and now is trusting younger players like Pedri and Moriba and Puig here and there instead of playing Pjanic just because of his reputation.

I'm just happy we don't have to deal with such shitty Midfield combinations anymore and we actually have a good set of Midfielders coming through with different skill sets that are far useful to us now.

Have to admit that I was skeptical about him and didn't think he was a good apointment at the time. Our first half of the season didn't help with my perception of him.

However, he deserves all the credit for our turnaround, hope he is our manager next year too. The perfect manager for where we were at the start of the season in hindsight. No non sense type who commands the respect of every player, even Messi's.

It's been half the century since first Dutch coach, Rinus Michels, came to Barca.

Worth noting that all 4 of them before Koeman won important trophies and built legacies while taking care of our roots.

I have no doubt Koeman will continue that good tradition.

Kind of glad we don't have a huge transfer budget. I don't think it would suit what Koeman has started. This organic growth of the team has turned us from looking like missing out on top 4 to potentially winning a domestic double. We even look like next season we'll be challenging for everything.
