Ronald Koeman

Earliest CL exit since 2007, first time we lost both Clasicos since 2008, first time we dont win our CL group since 2006, most league defeats since 2008, and at best our second lowest points total since 2008. :koeman:

- First loss in Camp Nou to Granada (25 games)

- First loss in Camp Nou to Getafe

- First loss in Camp Nou in CL since 2013

- First loss to Simeone’s Atletico in La Liga

- Most losses in La Liga since 2007/08 season

Koeman has done some great things this season but he’s had a free pass at times when you look at all the things which have gone wrong.

Doesn't matter. Club is in transition. People can abuse Koeman all they want the fact is there are factors here beyond his control. Like us being fucking broke and unable to buy players. So we have to look at the free agent market. Also the squad is unbalanced and shit. Any manager would have struggled here.
Also who at we going to hire?
Laporta was mouthing off about Naglesman and Klopp but we know that's not going to happen.
So where does this leave us? If we change manager next season it has to be with a long term view. That's the only way we will have a stable, long term project that actually has a chance of success. At the moment there is too much chopping and changing.

Of course it matters. There’s got to be some cut off point. Can’t just use “transition season” as an excuse for everything, someone has to be held accountable and yesterday it was on him.

For all the good things he has brought, Sergi Roberto is not one of them. With dest there we might actually score the second and say goodnight. Also, he got exposed defensively. A curse that he returned.

Transition with hundreds of millions spent on salaries and hundreds of millions worth of players. While being 1 point above Sevilla in the league.

and even copa was a lot of luck, first round against cornella won in penalty shootout, tight match against rayo 2-1, against Granada lucky win in the last minutes after being 0-2 down, semi final loosing first leg 0-2 against sevilla, ok final was good. i have defended him a lot but its too much now!

Monumentally difficult challenge to enter the club by Ron so he deserves immense credit for keeping things from completely imploding (And that couldn't have been easy at all considering all the unprecedented BS) but I do not want to see him on the bench any longer. I hate his approach to matches, naive

There's a reason why he was such a monumental failure even at Everton, do not expect a team reaching it's maximum potential under him. We will never, regularly, dominate opponents with flair or the Barca way under Koeman

He served a vital role in providing stability during transition, now it is time to go

Enter Xavi

And Pep said recently something like there is no such thing called project: "For all managers - you have to win. People talk about projects, but they don't exist, you have to win or you'll be sacked,"

It is win or lose. The winner take it all. Even more in big club. Everyone would slay Pep if he fail vs PSG next week.

Go support Arsenal. And never complain about result again. Feel happy with "we have no tittle or result but we have style".

That's the thing. People say this Koeman's Barca plays well. We don't. We obtain results only on the back of some great individuals-Messi, De Jong and very rarely Griezzyboy and because we still have better firepower than all teams in La Liga. Mainly because of Messi. But we really don't play that well, except some few select matches like Sociedad away and Bilbao Cup final, we implode when it's an important game.

That took a fast turn

I will wait how the season ends, and generally dont mind another year of Koeman too much, but I really detest 3ATB. Hope we revert back to 433 with whoever is in charge (not that I think Koeman had much of a choice given our squad).

Just can't understand why with 6 finals to go, no cup or ucl games in the way you'd decide to start Roberto and Umtiti. Two players who are shadows of what they promised. Injury prone, error prone etc. The whole idea expectations were low coming into this season is true but it's not like those expectations were anything other than fans throwing toys out the pram.

We were never going to finish outside the top 4 with our squad. So Finishing 4th is the absolute lowest expectation. We've won the copa which is great, and I'm very happy about that. We didn't have to face Real or Atletico so again that is actually the lowest expectation possible for the run of games we were given and even then it was a monumental struggle.

If we don't win the league now, keeping him will be completely based on integrating youngsters (not that there were other players available anyway). The only thing Koeman has truly done with integrating youngsters is not relying on Pjanic and giving Pedri game time. Ironically too much game time. He probably deserves another season but only if we challenge for the title to the last day and beat Atletico. Otherwise he's just another manager who couldn't make the right choices when it mattered most.

If plan A doesn't work he is absolutely hopeless at sorting it out and there have been cases where he's subbed off some of the better performing players and the team has completely lost momentum then too.

In two pivotal moments this year, PSG home game and last night to go top, he pretty much neglected all the good work he built by trusting and developing youngsters and basically shat himself trusting the same slow, lethargic players that have failed for a few years now.

What is the point of trying to phase out these players if when the pressure is on, you feel you need them to get you over the line. You can guarantee if Coutinho was here he'd be featured most weeks too.

This team has a problem when you get the influence of too many seniors, that they sink back into their slow lethargic football. The manager will never matter because these guys know it all.

I don't think it is coincidence that now Roberto and Pique are back into the team that soft-belly pedestrian football is back.

There's 3 games that are sackable offences.

The 3-0 Juve loss when we just needed a 2-0 loss to top the group and vs Porto after that who knows how far we go.

The Clasico loss. Madrid had none of their best defenders available and we still lost.

This fkn game.

Dude was sent off for starting Umtiti and Roberto and rightfully so. Hopefully his assistant takes over the lineups and tactics for the next two games
