Ronald Koeman

What makes you think Koeman even want to get rid of the senior players? He could have decided to bench and not play Pique like Lucho did. He could have decided not to insert Sergi Roberto into the lineup as soon as he became available, yet he did.

He could have decided to tell the club to sell Coutinho last summer, but he didn't because he saw him as essential to his project. Not my words, but Koeman's and Coutinho's. Not to forget he actually told Pedri he should have gone on loan too, but the club intervened and kept him because they didn't sign Wijnaldum as Koeman wanted.

How can you say with confidence that Koeman is the right man to start a fresh project?

Did you see the charts about minutes given to u-21 and u-25 across Europe's best 5 leagues? We are up at the left corner, only AC Milan ahead of us, whereas most European giants are down at the right bottom corner (least minutes to youngsters).
Is there a biggest proof than that?

He made Pedri a regular, even in the 4-2-3-1 at the beginning of the season, and was benching one of Coutinho, Griezman every time to play the kid.
Not even mentioning the minuted Araujo, Mingueza, Dest, Illaix got this season.

Not giving credit for that shows only bias. Sorry, that's the truth.
Playing Roberto and Pique might not be his decisions, but rather compromise knowing the leverage they have in the team.
Not fair to compare him to Lucho or anyone else, who never faced such a problem to have to recycle and old and declined squad.

another man who lost his job protecting bum veterans in the business end of the season.

When will these lot learn that we will tolerate a 3rd place finish in LL if it comes with a lucid plan for the future based on trial and errors with younger players.

We don't know if he played them or was FORCED TO PLAY THEM.
These slimy seniors always seem under handed in their dealings with the manager.
I think even Koeman submitted. If there was pressure he should have just walked.
There has been no club I can think of where the seniors exerted so much influence.
No point getting Xavi in either. He'll be the next bend over boy.

Doubt he was forced. He figured he could count on these guys for experience not realizing they're bums. Too bad it might cost him his job though. Laporta and the sports department need to move these losers out. Pique, Bob, Busi etc.

People need to stop this shit with implying managers are being forced to play certain players. If Koeman really was forced to play certain players then he wouldn't be treating Riqui Puig like he got the plague considering how much people in Barcelona seem to like Riqui.

Lucho dropped Pique and Alba when he saw it fit and even started Busquets and Rakitic on the bench at times. Koeman himself decided to start Pique and then put Roberto in wherever he wanted. Probably valued their experience too much when he saw the chance of winning La Liga and got burned by it badly. It's his own fault.

Imagine thinking Ronald fucking Koeman would get pressured into doing shit he doesn't want. Have any of you followed his career and how petty and strict Koeman can be?

I have never in my life been so sure of a manager failing more than Koeman at Barca.

FC Barcelona is the only club in the world that would hire a guy who was booted out of a bunch of mid-table clubs like Valenica and Everton based on some ridiculous ideology that previous association with the club would make him a qualified manager. I mean, no other top club in the world would do this.

Koeman has been a below average club manager for 20 years at multiple clubs and these fools at Barca still decided to hire him.

This club deserves its misery.

Come to think of it id gladly take Lucho back just so he could either kick all past it bums and shit players out of the club or to bench the shit out of them. Seems like he was the only one with balls to show who the boss is.

Exactly. Credit for that. At least he showed these bums the bench when they played shitty.

When Koeman was hired I said that the biggest pro about him is that Koeman has the status of a club legend so he might be able to do stuff if he want to move on from certain players. Koeman also has a very strong personality, one where he might end up in conflicts with other people, but there's no doubt in my mind that Koeman cannot be pushed around. He's never been pushed around in his career. He's just not that type of man.

The cons obviously were that he's been a very average or below par manager for most of his career.

The cons ended up outweighing the pros.

Yet he was the right man for this job. This season was lost before it even began. At least we got Copa out of it. Disaster off-season, Messi troubles, money problems and elections. It was truly truly disaster, so in the end Koeman handled it well. Not many would handle it well.
