I'm disappointed about the performances against top teams, but he undoubtedly made the team fitter and he didn't get the signings he wanted last summer. The injury of Ansu was a major hit as he was very effective and the only attacker on form by that time.
He clearly didn't trust many bench players which hurt us in the end as some players were overplayed. Getting some decent reinforcements could turn things around. Aguero and Gini are not really great signings for the future, but they can help the team immediately and buy the club some time in these dire straits. If Depay manages the step from being the main man to work hard for the team he can be a great addition too.
Dest was not a bad signing, but is just 20 and very raw. Getting Emerson would be great for the competition and his strenghts could complement well with Alba on the other side. I'm not a big fan of Eric Garcia tbh, but I'd be glad if he proves me wrong.

Koeman and his team did a lot of good last season but in end was yet another coach who goes back to old players that are done and plays Pique week in week out until league was lost.
If Koeman stays and Pique/Busi are still at club and playing week in week out it is a complete waste of time.
At least if keep him give him free reign to clean up squad for next coach.

I can forgive everyone and everything but i cant forgive someone who let little Puig on the bench ! This dude has helped us so much when he played, these defence breaking passes were so needed but stupid Koeman made really really stupid things. Ciao Koeman.

Who should he play? We have no defenders. Araujo was injured a lot, very good physically but he’s not technically gifted, not first eleven material, Mingueza - same thing, Umtiti can’t run anymore, we’re left with Pique and Lenglet. If we want a “revolution” we should start with the defense, we conceded a lot this season especially in big games.

Play any of the players that Barca had a far better record with last season then when forced Pique back in.
Pique is a cancer in the team the way he plays and is a awful influence with zero leadership.
His ego is a huge negative to the team.
Was hoping his knee is fucked and would retire but even if it was the ego would try to carry on. Needs to be told time is up but no one has the balls to do it.

First and foremost you should be a good defender and Araujo has all the necessary traits to be one. I'm tired of those ball-playing defenders who get bullied around by physical strikers and pacey wingers. Araujo should be a clear starter next year, especially if we go back to a backline of 4.

But that’s how Barca plays. Ball playing, technically gifted, physical defenders like Puyol, Pique, Masche, lol even Koeman. Even Umtiti was good example before injury.

Not when the players are done.
Pique can barely run or defend. Same for Busquets and teams targeted them both.
Araujo is worse on ball than Pique clearly but he allows team to play high line and doesnt try to make himself the spare man who is scared of one on one situations the way Pique is. That all benefits structure of the team on and off the ball.

I’m not saying play Pique now, it was an example of a type of defender. Araujo did not play mostly because of injuries. But, anyways I don’t think he’s the solution unless he develops massively ( which I don’t really see happening, you can develop physical skills, but rarely football IQ and technicality). We need new blood in our defense.
