I’m not saying play Pique now, it was an example of a type of defender. Araujo did not play mostly because of injuries. But, anyways I don’t think he’s the solution unless he develops massively ( which I don’t really see happening, you can develop physical skills, but rarely football IQ and technicality). We need new blood in our defense.

As the squad stands now Araujo is better for team than Pique and with Pique in team last season the results were abysmal. He adds nothing.

Araujo needs to get a lot better on ball and improve positionally and ideally would have him with a leader beside him but Barca dont have them.
