Serie A is not a weak league, not as good as La Liga or the Premier League but it is strong, kinda like where the Premier League was in the 90s or La Liga in the 80s. Conte is a top class coach no doubt about it, and he has been brilliant everywhere he has managed. I am not sure it would work at Barca, but it would be entertaining to find out.

He will get money if he leaves anyway. Saying 'fuck you' makes no difference.

They probably want him to try that and to quit.

There is no option really but to hold tight and try to get money in that situation.

In the end I think Koeman stays. All the signings are what he requested last year, and he will believe (naively or by truth) that these signings are the difference between us and a LaLiga this season. There is no-one presenting themselves who is going to be a strong option for a 3-4 season project. Unless you go with a risk like Choripan Gallardo.

Conte is obviously a better manager. Stays for 1-2 seasons, wins LaLiga and then goes. Seems devoted to the 352 and getting the players for his style. Is this what we need right now?

I mean obviously we would love to win LaLiga, but we had that with Valverde and look where we are today with that model. Koeman seems content with his zero-cost Dutchies and just having an out and out striker like Aguero. And I think those needs fit the boards needs for this summer too.
