Ronald Koeman

Is TV3 reliable, especially with the new board? I feel bad for Koeman if that's really what they told him in the meeting. This doesn't really sound like something Laporta would do, but you never know.

The obvious is that they talked about Wijnaldum, but Koeman's agent was there too which clearly indicates that they were talking about some legal stuff regarding his client. The only thing I can think of else as what TV3 reported is that they talked about his salary. Maybe they want to lower it like they want with Pique, Busi, Alba and Roberto. Another thing could be that they didn't even pay him yet for current season like reported some time ago. Maybe they talked about that.

This is bullshit, no human with an ounce of respect for himself would accept that. "Aaa.. Look Ronald, we want to fire you so just sit tight while we search for a replacement. If we don't find one in 2 weeks, the job is yours"

Seriously, who the fuck writes this shit?!

Maybe they didn't say that in those words.
More likely something like "Ronald you understand that you are not our choice, but the choice of the previous board. However, we may give you one extra year"

But again, the signings (Winaldum and Depay) indicate that he is staying.

Anyways, the info coming out the last 2 days is very conflicting.

yeah, i too am under the impression he will continue. searching for another manager narrative just doesn't add up as we would have thought of that weeks/months ago.

furthermore koeman would have been sacked already as there is no point to wait, even if we would have got someone else in june/july.

oh well, another frustrating season incoming. should we get used to this in the long term?

I want him gone because of his obsession with Pedri. I really don't understand what people see in that guy, but maybe i am too old and i watched too many great young players over the years. Also, i want him gone for our abysmal showing in big and important matches. We lost both games against a lacklustre Real Madrid team, we lost a potential first place against fucking Granada and the worst Juve team in the last 10 years bitchslapped us at home to take first place in an very easy group. He needs to go and i don't care, put Xavi,Pimienta, the cleaning lady, i'd rather risk than let this proven mediocrity on the helm for another year. Unfortunately, i think he'll remain and bring his overrated dutch shite like Depay and Wjinaldum(he may not be overrated, but i think playing for Klopp all these years will take a toll on him, make him Pjanic v2).

The truth is that dismissing Koeman would cost the club around 12 million euros because he had taken a hefty pay-cut this season, as well as having one year more of contract or course. [rac1]

I swear to god I remember Barto saying that the decision to keep Koeman or not should be for the new president. What a shocker if true.

Seeing rumors about Roberto Martinez I'm in favour of keeping him for another year and figuring it out next summer
