Imagine: I want to marry you, but I have doubts.

Give me two weeks to find a better partner…

If I can’t find the right person, we will get married anyway!

New low from Laporta, regardless of your stance on Koeman, you do not treat a coach this way. Very poorly managed, disgusting from the club.

It is a difficult situation, but it's also the risk you take joining a club just before a new board is to be elected. Same when a club gets taken over, quite often the manager is the first to go.

Publicly confirming they are weighing up options though is very disrespectful.

Laporta tried to be diplomatic, but at the end the last question about Koeman got him. He should be smarter than that handling the press.
Was never his biggest strength tbf

And I thought the press was making it up

Koeman showed great respect and passion for the club, shame he's treated poorly. Either find a replacement and sack him (like Juve just did with their legend) or give him another season.

Indeed. He basically got asked two questions and then responded with a yes. Before that, he did say they were trying to align their visions for the team next season.

Agree, honestly, i didnt expect it from Laporta. If Koeman has some pride he should leave us.

If he has pride he should not quit and play into hands of those trying to force him out.

Pride here means staying and taking the money.. only thing will stop that is if he swallows his pride and puts club first which Laporta is making less likely to happen.

i think Laporta is a bit reckless here. Doubt Koeman stays beyond this. His position is already undermined, he has to go. You can't work in these circumstances.
