yeah, and old man suarez, who was blamed here for not running enough, went to atletico.

let's just stop with this crap about training at barca. i'm sure they follow the training regimen that most top level clubs do.

turan was 'tired of running with Atletico' in games because he was always a lazy bastard that played for a defensive team. aguero didn't specifically say that training was not on par, just that he went in earlier at city.

you want powerful and fast football? you get the required players and manager for that.

People here just want us to be LiverpoolMK2. At the end of the day, Barca is the most succesful football team of this century, while Liverpoop is....meh. But this is telling you everything about our '' fans''. Just glory hunter dumbasses, who started following Barca when we were succesful. Let them jump the ship i'd say.

Keep coping guys. There is literally no excuse for the players here (who earn hundreds of thousands of ? per month) not to be at the peak of their physical form. You have the top medical staff, the best nutritionists, best cooks, best trainers in the world and you decide to give your bare minimum for the club? Today's football is dominated by strong, fast, powerful players who can run 30 km in a match. If you can't adapt to this system just fuck off.

again with the bayern bullshit. mate, those guys were like that for the most part of their careers. do you want players like xavi, iniesta or busquets to be muscle men because they would look good on instagram?

nobody runs 30 km in a match you muppet. today's football is dominated by teams with good players and managers, like always. showing your muscles on instagram is a system now?

Even with the whole 10M it wouldn't be enough to let Koeman go , let alone hire another manager on top of that.

The 12M are already there in the salary we paid anyway, it won't count as extra expenses. Also a reminder we already paid quarter of his annual salary too. At worst it will be the 6M counted for the Dutch federation as buyout for him.
We can get a coach for what we saved from Griezmann deal in comparison to LDJ deal, that should be enough to hire a young coach or free agent coach not named Conte
Problem is that it throws our chances of getting any reinforcements in January, which might be even bigger priority over new coach

Why Bayern? Look again how our players tried to escape from Benfica players. Before the shots on goal, it didn’t even come. They don't have enough strength for the whole match. Messi, Villa, Ronaldinho, Anri, Eto'o, yes, a lot, Liverpool players?

You didn't address the question? What is their excuse not to be at their peak of physical form? They are professional athletes who should take their job seriously. Do you think that today is enough to be a skinny fat footballer who relies purely on his technical abilities? I am so tired of the excuses here.

You are naming players from a decade ago. Football changed and Barcelona failed to adapt but keep finding more excuses.

Of course, Birdy the Excel spreadsheet wanker was missing here.

8 hours training per day  Yeah, if you count hours spent on twitch and instagram as training.

It's part of a general scheme of excuses
It starts with the Barca-DNA, tiki-taka, and the misconception that running is not important, just positioning is
Then, it gets overblown by adding the well-known idiocy that players like Messi, Suarez, Neymar etc do not need to run to defend because they offer in attack

and from there you only need a Valverde to indulge Amigos and let them train only 25 min each session,
to form the complete picture of the degeneration of a professional athlete

The 8 hours figure is a non-sense.
heck, even Kobe Bryant (RIP) once talked that at best you can get 6 hours, and he was one of the most dedicated athletes in the history.
That being said, I agree that club needs to be modernized with its training methods, too many players complaining about it (Firpo/FDJ/Aguero) during the tenures of different coaches.
I am not sure why would anyone complains about it, training hard isn't really anti-Barca

What's their physical peak? Do you realize that people are build different and putting on more muscle will not change you being 34 years old and not 24?

Just look at that picture with Messi, Neymar and Mbappe. Do you see any inch of fat on Messi? No, but he is 34 years old and was never a physical beast. So won't run like he was 24.

Of course it is not 8 hours of running.
Anyone can understand that.

But it's a whole chunk of 8 hours spent at the training center, including things as:
training on the pitch individually
training on the pitch collectively in various formats (under the assistant, under the head coach, running 5x5 or 11x11 games, exercising particular stages of play and automations, etc)
working out at the gym
video sessions under the 1st team coach

Guess what?
In 2.5 hours you can do only part of that
Don't know even if you manage to do one of the above with 0.5-1 hr sessions under Valverde

I don't know why people like to roll on these fake news about the intensity in training at FC Barcelona. Do you guys even read actual information or just like to express your frustrations when you see Bayern players flex their muscles on social media?

For example Firpo never said anything about the actual physical training:
"I've been here [at Leeds United] for two weeks and I've already seen more individual videos than in two years at Barca. They explain the way they want you to play and what they want you to do, and that means that they take care of it in detail," Junior Firpo has told DAZN.

When did FDJ or Aguero comment about the actual intensity or quality of fitness training in Barcelona?

Then why has Koeman still not been let go seeing how Laporta quite obviously doesn't like him.

While you can say that he hasn't found a proper replacement yet , he could for example let Schreuder be the interim coach or someone else until he found a manager he wants. I just found this delaying of letting Koeman go hard to explain if money isn't the reason.

Aguero: “At City we arrived an hour and a half before training and here half an hour before,”
“I said, well, I’ll come in at least an hour before and try and go to the gym or do some things, but nobody was there, it was all shut, dammit.”

That tells you that Barca players are not working at the gym

Do you want me to pull up all the articles about the intensity of the training sessions under Ernie?
