Ronald Koeman

Then why has Koeman still not been let go seeing how Laporta quite obviously doesn't like him.

While you can say that he hasn't found a proper replacement yet , he could for example let Schreuder be the interim coach or someone else until he found a manager he wants. I just found this delaying of letting Koeman go hard to explain if money isn't the reason.

Laporta never fired a manager midseason, in fact he only fired a manager once during 7 years as club president.
Stability is important for him, and Koeman has only had 8 matches this season.
I honestly think Laporta didn't want to fire Koeman until results went south, probably even after Cadiz he was willing to let the season work with Koeman as a coach. He knows that this is a lost year anyway, so he will let Koeman takes the fall for the next guy.

I think Benfica game just complicates thing, if it was 1-2 defeat I think Laporta would swallow his pride, but embarrassment from Benfica while totally getting outcoached is no excuse.

It is also said that Laporta doesn't want an interim coach

I don't know why people like to roll on these fake news about the intensity in training at FC Barcelona. Do you guys even read actual information or just like to express your frustrations when you see Bayern players flex their muscles on social media?

Why are you so obsessed with our players not giving their 100% for the club? What are you gaining by defending their laziness? Ronaldo used to sneak at night into the gym to train. If you think the current physical form of our players has nothing to do with their performance you are absolutely delusional.

Keep coping guys. There is literally no excuse for the players here (who earn hundreds of thousands of ? per month) not to be at the peak of their physical form. You have the top medical staff, the best nutritionists, best cooks, best trainers in the world and you decide to give your bare minimum for the club? Today's football is dominated by strong, fast, powerful players who can run 30 km in a match. If you can't adapt to this system just fuck off.

Have you heard of the aryan race?

Aguero: “At City we arrived an hour and a half before training and here half an hour before,”
“I said, well, I’ll come in at least an hour before and try and go to the gym or do some things, but nobody was there, it was all shut, dammit.”

That tells you that Barca players are not working at the gym

Do you want me to pull up all the articles about the intensity of the training sessions under Ernie?

Where do you see Aguero mentioning that the training quality at Barca is worse than what City does? Did he mention why they were coming an hour before at City? No, but lets just assume something because it fits Birdy's and some other idiots narrative.

Surely the bickering back and forth between the two is anything but having stability in the club.

But maybe you are right

Laporta handled media awfully after Bayern game till Cadez game, made the whole situation worse than it should be. No doubt about it.
I think it was more of stupidity and ego rather than a plan to replace him

An article from Marca at the beginning of Koeman's appointment, describing how surprised he was with the low-intensity and low-duration of Barca trainings.

Highlights:
"It was an open secret that Barcelona's training sessions in recent years weren't the best . Several footballers when they left the Barcelona club, complained that little training was done in Sant Joan Desp?. The intensity in practice was not ideal for a high-level team and the result was seen on the pitch when they faced physically very strong teams such as Bayern or Liverpool."

"In recent years the team used to only exercise for an hour."

"And it is not only the duration. The intensity of the sessions
"(Now, under Koeman) They are 90 minutes in which the players are at their peak and they are noticing that, especially the most veteran players."

"In other years, the start of the session was often delayed. And not for a couple of minutes. Sometimes you had to wait a long time because one of the players had stayed, for example, playing basketball"
Basketball LOL
This is not a professional football club, it's a circus

Let me try to to find the article saying that Valverde was letting them only jog mildly, do some rondos, and them dissolve the training

PS:
And It's still -after the improvements under Koeman- not enough and obsolette in terms of physical preparation

Because there is a lot of fake news, misconceptions and presumptions around the subject. I'm all for players not slacking off, but let's be honest. There are hardly any cases of players not training enough at big clubs these days.

The main problem with our current squad is players and/or manager not being good enough. Some just got old and wouldn't improve at over 30 with 10 kg of muscles on them.

Ronaldo was always like that, he's an exception.

Lluis Canut(journo and Koeman's friend) always mouthing off in the press doesn't help either. Laporta kept responding to him indirectly and revealing stuff he probably shouldn't have, like Koeman wanting a contract extension and them talking about it.

You and Wambo are contradicting yourselves with these articles. First because what you posted is not an actual interview or something Koeman said, just what a journalist writes(speculates). But let's take it as true 100%.

So Aguero is just talking shit, since that article says that we are training better than ever before under Koeman.

Also, Wambo speculates that this is the issue with our squad - not training enough. Which the article clearly states otherwise.

What do we make of all this? Are we training enough or not? Or it's about muscles on Instagram?

Dude, are you serious???
It's obvious from the context that he wanted to come early to do work at the gym AS he was doing at City for many years but that's not happening at Barca, the gym is closed because no one does that

Seriously, you pretend to be retarded to win the argument?
LOL

improved under Koeman, but still not good enough and a far cry from what other top clubs do

It's pretty obvious this team's physical preparation have been awful ever since Lucho left the club. Heck we don't even analyze the opponents on film and what they do tactically either, like other teams do, for example City if you watched that documentary about them. At least that's what Firpo alluded to.

Our training methodology is stuck in the 2000s. Time to modernize it.

Koeman is a grade A hypocrite. Laporta is good so far, but if he flops the manager naming in the next period he's done. He has a massive and tough job in the next year.

Next summer, first and biggest chunk of cleaning up the trash after Barto's shithousery will be done and Laporta will get to impose his decision in some key areas. He better not drop the ball.
