Unilaterally terminating players's contracts will put further damage to club's image which could last for years. Even if we'll actually have money to sign players in a few years they might think twice or three times before signing with us if that's how Laporta will now decide to offload most players. We have two precedents already that we didn't pay a cent to those whom we have terminated (Setien and Fernandes)
Both gone to court, we will see how it goes.
But as it stands right now, the club ,led by a successful lawyer, has no intention to pay any of those players and willing to take the legal battle.

Dembele has one year left, if he has a decent offer he will leave to be sure he can leach on another club long term.
His injury change the situation for him, one more major injury next season and he will be lucky to get a one year offer from Westham.
