Sandro Rosell

Rosell running from the press..goes to the ladies room:

Also Freixa said today that it's possible that they won't buy a CB and that the only thing that should matter for the socios is that we have a team that can win everything.

I called it a few days ago. With such useless people behind barca, I didn't believe it was too hard to imagine that they would not bring a CB at all. I think Tito might be to blame too since he's obsessed with Thiago Silva. If he can't get Thiago Silva, he doesn't want anybody else. What do I think? B.c he doesn't any idea about good players, he doesn't want to make the same mistake he did by bringing Song.

Not as straightforward as that.

What do you suggest the club should have done?

They either should have sold him earlier when clubs were willing to pay more (Arsenal during the winter for example) or keep him. Even though his wages are high he´s still a good player, and since the are tons of rumours that Barca wants to buy a striker, why the fuck not keep Villa?? He´s a bloody excellent striker! But selling him for peanuts is pretty much the worst thing they could have done.

Sell him in January?

No chance would they have done that and weakened the squad at such an important time. Thats just a non starter.

They wont want to keep him as they cant justify paying him 11m wages next season when they dont believe he is needed.

While no doubt he himself wants regular first team football before the WC.

Selling him in January and keeping him were never really options.

Even without Villa, there would have been Alexis, Pedro, Tello and Iniesta for the wide positions, with the option of playing Cesc as a false 9 and moving Messi to the right wing. That´s enough cover for the 2nd part of the season.

If he wants first team football before the WC, he´ll have to work his butt off at Barca, how could that be a bad thing? A Neymar-Villa-Messi frontline doesnt sound bad to me, with Pedro/Tello/Alexis for rotation.

Either way, I dont like how the club handled this transfer. Getting 2-5m for a player like him is a joke.

No way was Villa not needed after January.

Since the turn of the year he played in over twenty games and took at least some part in most of the bigger games.

They would never have sold him in January. It would have made no sense to do that.

People say that thinking about things in the toilet often leads to wise decisions.

Let's hope Sandro thought well while hiding in the ladies' room.

what he could have done was sell him to spurs for 9m when they offered it instead of playing hard ball and getting out jewel in the end

Whoever thinks that it's impossible to sell DAVID VILLA for more than 5 millions euro, obviously do not walk on this Earth as others.

Sandro "I have no idea what I'm doing" Rosell

Selling Villa for half as much as Callejon, what a
genius. :worthy:
Actually Villa=20%Callejon..we will see 5M only if he stays at ATM for 3 years.

It was worth keeping him just for his performance against Milan in the Champions League.

What performance? He scored a goal and that's all. Busi was the MOTM.

Whoever thinks that it's impossible to sell DAVID VILLA for more than 5 millions euro, obviously do not walk on this Earth as others.

I have noticed that many of those who are saying these are the same that thought that Villa wasn't playing because of Messi.
