What's the worst that could happen between now and 2016?

Well if Tito ends up leaving, then Roura is probably going to be our manager. Along with the decreased investment in youth and more focus on finances and transfers, we'll give up everything the club stands for in loyalty, family, and academy development to become some Qatar financed money club with a cold-hearted president who flips the very foundation of our club over.

Roura  Can you imagine him as coach?:thumbdown:It would be a disaster

I doubt Rosell would give enough of a damn to find us a decent manager, instead just handing it off to the next guy in line. I was really hoping Lucho would come back to be Barca's coach if he succeeds at Celta, but under Rosell that seems unlikely

The problem to me seems that they want people around Barcelona cause they know and will play always the same tactics. They afraid of something different and getting over for this supposed to be succesive tactics that started with Pep.Thats why i think Tito was brought there to quarantee that nothing will change

The thing was that Tito's reign showed how passive the board were about management of the team, same with how they so happily let Roura take over during his illness. After Pep left, Tito didn't change much and had a distinct lack of authority that made the team seem a very passive version of the previous one, as if the instructions were "just tell them exactly what Pep did". Well that kind of attitude really showed that it was a poor attempt at copying the previous style and we slacked off as a team. The board hardly cared about it though, same how they once again undermined a coaches authority/influence by putting the clown Roura in charge while Tito was away. They don't think it's that big of a deal to manage Barca, that anybody can use the exact same instructions as before to do it successfully and keep the club's "beautiful tiki taka football" image.

You mean to "lets do what we like, because who cares about debt" time?

Well under Rosell the priority has shifted to the polar opposite. He's degraded the football mentality of the club in favor of reducing debt and focusing on his financial connections.

What football mentality he degraded?

The silver lining of this depressing Thiago saga is that it's now clear that Pep had a problem with Rosell and the board and that it was probably a big part of him leaving. I blame him less for leaving now. Rosell can be an asshole and I wouldn't want to work under one, either. Luckily for Rosell, he's got Tito the pawn now, so he'll have no trouble imposing his will whenever he pleases and further ruining the club.

Academy, core management, loyal philosophy vs transfers, Qatar money, and some vendetta against Laporta and his supporters
How does apart from transfers relate to football mentality?

Transfer spending (balance, given Eto'o 21M) 03-10 -41M/year, and gross debt increase of -31M/year.
Transfer spending (balance, given that we brake even after this transfer window) 10-13 -31M/year, and gross debt decrease of 19M/year

So in relation to transfer spending to gross debt, Rosell is about 40M/year ahead of Laporta.

Honestly with the Laporta crew leaving we lost almost all of the key people of the club. Laporta, Txiki, Cruyff, Pep, Lucho, Thiago (because of Pere), and many more. Rosell has given up much focus on our gameplay, only looking for results and marketing schemes. He turned Barcelona from a family into a cold, money-hungry business and has dismantled the legacy of Pep.
