my mind is being blown by rosell right now, he comes in and through creative accounting jacks up the debt and later signs a ridiculous sponsorship deal, reduces the debt and him called a financial wiz by his supports.

Laporta did the exact same thing when he took it over from Gaspart, it's common practice. Giving that Laporta increased debt 200M and Rosell has now decreased it 100M, it's absolutely gobsmacking that somebody actually says Laporta was good.

You act as if the club knew they would only get one round further in the CL, anyway gate receipts TV money etc would mean much more than 3m for getting passed AC Milan. Added to that the cash for getting passed PSG which would not have been possible if eliminated by Milan.

They were 100% correct to keep for squad and financial reasons.

I feel uneasy with Rosell as president. He's certainly created a rift between the Laporta/Cruyff loyalists and his new crew. With that, a lot of the success has been drained and even our beloved Pep Guardiola left with a bitter taste in his mouth. Reducing debt is one thing, he's done it well. However it's not always about that, even Laporta could keep a decent financial situation at the club with a few better advisors helping him make smarter decisions.
