I love how people talk about this as if they were in the room during the negotiations.

Coming from someone who can tell us what Neymars thoughts are.

He rejected Madrid when just about to sign for them due to lack of respect on their part.

Yet you claim he was always going to sign for Barca and no one else.

so what i am hearing is that resell should get credit for signing a player in the last year of his contract for 57m euros

How so? By referring to Neymar's own statement?

And you know this because...?

You dont think he rejected Real when Perez started telling him he should be honoured to wear the shirt and count himself lucky?

It is well documented.

There is no way that Barcelona got his transfer easily as he always was going to sign. That is bs to belittle the great job Rosell did.

If it's well documented, please, go ahead and show me the recording of their conversation. Or at least a transcription.

Just you keep thinking that Neymar only wanted Barca then.

Despite the evidence pointing to that not being the case at all.

Sir Alupp Heynrguson
He gave 40 million euro to Neymar, what's "brilliant" about that?

Wasn't officially disclosed (although that's semantics really).

who only wanted to play for FCB in the first place

Did he say he always wanted to play for Barca? I actually don't remember, not being sarcastic with that question.

Rosell bringing down the debt does not mean Laporta would have.
It doesn't mean he would have, but it does mean he could have. What financial strategy Laporta would have taken is unknown.

 Yeah, because the deal he's making he's able to bring it down, where as Laporta just blew the money on transfer market without thinking anything.

Laporta gave the transfer decisions to the director of football, him and the board would have made the money available. He's made mistakes, but he's also had successes. Just because Ibra/Chiggy didn't work out doesn't mean that future transfer deals wouldn't have worked out.

A better way to put it is that Rosell should get credit for signing a player in the last year of his contract for below market value.

It is well documented.

If it well documented then can you please give some sources?

Neymar being in the last year of his contract is irrelevant when so many other teams are willing to pay much more for him.

Even with no years on his contract teams were going to have to pay huge money for him.
