This league definitely has legs in it and nothing like the Chinese league. The figures involved are magnitudes higher than they were in China.

I think next season they will start picking up players in their prime from Europe. At that point it will be squeaky bum time for UEFA.

Eventually UEFA will have to do something. Probably a European Super League of their own as that's the only way European clubs will be able to somewhat compete financially.

Might be FIFA interest not to have Saudi teams in the Champions League. Will allow these big club matchups to take place in the newly revampled World Club Championship instead.

More importantly, Saudi investment (sponsors, bogus rights packages) will be spent in the WCC over the CL.

Would be licking their lips if the MLS can buildup some top elevens too after the Messi move.

If Pool had a decision on their hands few weeks back, it's certainly trickier now. Need to think how much they can actually gamble on getting through half a season without keeling over if they were to sell him now

Can't they sign an emergency replacement, or is that just a LaLiga rule?

If they can, puts Spain at a disadvantage with the buy out clauses.

Or maybe that was Tebas 4D chess all along. Make the quality of LaLiga so low that no one wants to pay the buyout clauses.

Saudia has qualified 6 times to WC in last 8 tournaments, has better history in both WC and Asian Cup over China, has better league than China long before they started to spend that big.

Sure, European leagues will feel it isn't much of threat due to decades of dominating the sport, having way bigger resources and history.
But this is just lazy comparison, Saudia has bigger base to start with and are spending on a far different level

4-3 at the end, what a match it was!

Ronaldo 2 goals, Talisca 2 goals and again a longshot goal, damn he has one of the best shooting technique in the world

On the other side Mahrez was incredible

I was shocked to see Demiral in that league, he is only 25
