Cubarsi still for me looks like the relevant real deal long-term. That assist to Raphinha, that‘s a ball he can put on a plate better than any CB not name Piqué. Or early in 2nd half when he outran Valladolid’s CF to a through ball, who has that speed at CB? You could see him relentlessly close down the attacke. Whomever partners with him outside of Araujo remains to be seen and depth is a requirement in today’s football - better to have options than be stuck

Xavi can be credited for cementing Kounde as our RB for the near future and particularly works when we morph into a back 3

Meh.

Played a part in the first goal going in

Needs 2 touches to control the ball.

Not gonna shit on him, he was meh.

He was meh, but Garcia and Martin were worse. None of these 3 should even be on our bench.

People were saying we should sell Eric or Christiansen or Inigo because they aren't good enough as backups.

Turns out some B team defender is good enough and can jump in no problem. Or Inigo can look solid as starter.

Good coaching makes all the difference.

He can be a backup for now but he is far from Cubarsi level. When Christensen and Araujo return this lad will probably go to the stands.

I see him as the token La Masia/Barca Athletic player we would promote and be just a squad player to help fill in the gaps and play if he has to which is fine IMO.

Don't expect him to be much more than that. We just got bitten hard by Injuries so far.

A bit weird, but he was actually one of my favourite players in B team when I watched them last year. He is a defender who puts all effort and hustle.

Never thought he will be a first team player, as he was clearly limited and maybe a bit clumsy, and we had at least 3 B team players ahead of him (Faye, Fall & Cubarsi).

Glad to see him cracking the rotation, I still don't see him as a future full time Barcelona player (although I hope he does) but signs that he can make it in Liga is there.

Unfortunately been a liability tonight. I dont blame him too much for the pen, just been too many poor positional decisions (2nd goal to name an example) and sloppy, hopeful passes out of defence. Should have been taken out of the firing line at half time.
