Looks fair to me. But even if it was a foul then it would've been a stupid dispossession from him, shouldn't have been doing dribblings at the back in the first place.

But maybe that's a bit too easily thought, from the above replay it seems like he had 4 options when he got closed down:
a) pass it to Umtiti (suicidal)
b) pass it back to MaTS (probably also suicidal)
c) pass it to the approaching Rakitic (?) along the line, which might have troubled him as there was someone in his back
d) do what he did, get space and open up

In not just this, but in a couple of situations this game there seemed like no passing options in the midfield when playing from the back. Maybe more players should come back, make the field denser and add passing options. The Guardiola-way, so to say. This also has the advantage that IF the ball goes loose, more players are able to intervene further down the pitch.
In the attack Barca looked sharp as fuck, like a team with MSN should. Not optimal by THEIR standards but heavenly by everyone elses, and that's good.
It's just this defense -> midfield transition thing that looks so bad when in possession.

Yeah definitely a foul. Seen a lot less than that given as free kicks before too. The ref missed a good 4/5 obvious fouls yesterday for us.

Thought he was fouled, but that doesn't cover up the fact that he should not be a RB, he is just so poor defensively. He would be a decent squad player to play in the midfield against lesser opponents, that's it.

If Suarez's yellow card was a foul, than this was a double one...
Haha, with those parameters, yeah. Neither a foul, both too soft to be called. I've seen similar actions be called dives here before.

Ball's direction after the tackle makes me believe it was not a foul, because apparently Roberto's foot was touched AFTER the Alaves' player touched the ball.

Anyway, it's irrelevant because he shouldn't be dribbling (or shouldn't be forced to dribble) right there.

"The converted midfielder is struggling in his new position at right-back and is tired of playing there. Mentally exhausted and put under pressure by the opposition each game, Sergi Roberto would prefer to play in another positons, but his destiny is clear in the short-term: there's no possible replacement at right-back."

Sport's rampant after lucho these days.

You're welcome
I think it's a foul because the opponent steers Roberto inside by holding his arm and thus allowing to reach the ball easier and tackle him.

He was important in adding pace and some sort of defensive stability. Also involved in one of our goals.

Iniesta and Busquets shoulder more responsibility and should be scrutinized more for their lax attitude first and foremost.

Oh boy was he bad. His positioning in defence is just horrendous. On so many occasions he was caught out of position but luckily the cross/pass never arrived.
Not surprised that his confidence is pretty much at rock bottom too having to play RB all season.
