It wouldn't be fair to Thiago :(

If Thiago flops hard or doesn't play much at Bayern, and Roberto beasts it up here at Barcelona, it's pretty easy to see which one Del Bosque would call up. Not to mention that Roberto is a real box to box midfielder, unlike any of Spain's other midfielders. Still, in my opinion, neither will make the World Cup squad. Euro 2016? Maybe.

The only way I could possibly fathom Thiago not going to the WC14, is if Pep somehow manages to disappoint and in the process gets fired. Thiago could very well be made a scapegoat and suffer from a new manager trying to get back to the winning formula that Jupp created.

... that would take Pep failing, though, and I honestly have a hard time imagining that.

Imagine Roberto having an awesome season and Del Bosque decides to take him to WC2014 meanwhile Thiago stays home :pep: .
that would be very nice if that happen.
but i think thiago also knows many people are there ahead of him for spain NT.He just made as reason to WC to leave barcelona otherwise he is also aware he has no chance in WC squad.

Sergi Roberto: "Despite what many may think, Neymar is humble, and he's adapting well to the group."

I still can't believe we got 25M to play Sergi. I mean that has to be the best bit of business in the history of football?

No, the best one was getting Messi for free, with a napkin. I can't see that being topped, ever.
