Oh yeah Koeman, the manager infamous for his incredible squad building for the clubs he's managed in the past.

Good point about Reguillon though.

He's not that infamous for it. He's had a good track record at Southampton. Also built a pretty coherent NT side out of relatively obscure players. He's not that thick of a talent judge. Hit and miss is a better description, but if he & the sporting directorate score a few great hits that's already better than no hits under your previous managers+Barto.

Lol. It's always a positive sign when a player draws attention from the biggest teams in Europe.

Huh?

As usual, you start nitpicking everything to start up another useless argument.

Not really. Just highlighting a rubbish argument. Only your problem if you're uncomfortable with someone pointing it out. Don't post stupid things and there won't be a problem, think this much is obvious enough.

Who cares what Koeman has done before anyway. I was sceptical, but I dont think he could have done a better job until now. Clear sporting project, no bullshit press conferences, trusts youth and looks demanding (but not psychotic like Van Gaal). Whats not to like. I will start complaining when we fall apart ;-)

I changed "always" to "often" because I anticipated this kind of post. Man you're so predictable.

Statistical comparison of Mazraoui, Dest, and potential new RB Sean Klaiber of FC Utrecht

This is a comparison between Dest competition in Ajax, and his new replacement. Mazraoui is the guy people claim Dest is the bench because of him.
I think Dest shows clear potential attacking wise tbh, his defense is clearly limited but it is normal for a converted winger of his age.
He is a boom or bust type of player, could be next TAA or a guy who will play in MLS at the age of 25.
I think of him as Cancelo style wise

Here's a few:

1. Pushing out Riqui Puig, our only senior creative midfielder with mobility and take on ability to play...Frenkie De Jong as a box to box midfielder and Busquets as an anchor in a double pivot? Wasn't FdJ supposed to be a DM? That midfield is atrocious and will be demolished throughout the season.

2. Antoine Griezmann on the right wing.

3. Antoine Griezmann on the right wing.

4. Antoine Griezmann not on the bench.

5. Trincao or Dembele not playing over Antoine Griezmann

6. Antoine Griezmann on the RW.

Yea, Cancelo comparison is spot on based on youtube highlights. A player of limited defensive abilities, but that could make a difference in attack. But he'll need to show a bit more creativity than Cancelo, and cause less turnovers.

In other words, Cancelo's offensive capabilities are not good enough to look past his weak defensive side.

The Klaiber transfer is laughable. Few years ago he publicly said he doesn't like Ajax. And now he's an Ajax player.
He isn't Ajax level, and never will be. Nobody in the Netherlands understand this transfer. But Ten Hag is his old coach. So ya, shit happens. Every clubs makes stupid transfers sometimes.

BTW: I think Mazraoui is a better player than Dest (at the moment). They both from the Ajax Youth Academy, Mazraoui is 2-3 years older. But Dest has much more potential.
Dest is a beast attacking wise. But he still needs a lot to learn defensively. Looking forward to see him play in The La Liga.

To bad he only played for one season at Ajax (after so many years in the Youth Academy). But no hard feelings. If Barca comes with an offer its hard to say no.

I'm hoping that Dest's arrival will help Griezmann and vice versa. Both Bob and Griezmann can't take on players and both of them are good with off-the-ball movement.

Dest's creativity on the ball and dribbling skills could help bring life to that right wing while Griezmann's defensive work rate could help mask Dest's limited defensive skills imo.

I was thinking more about Dest and Trincao . 19 and 20 years old.

We got him purely for commercial reasons. Do not expect anything from this guy, just another Firpo probably

I mean, you do know Griezmann played a big part of 2010s as a winger?

As long as Messi doesn't get in the way, he can be an asset at RW/RF.

yeah, hopefully dest will take griezmann to amsterdam and the red light district. girls there should teach him one or two lessons in finishing.

we'll kindly ask the opposition defense and our offense to clear the field for mr griezmann. guy has to be all alone in order to find the opposition goal, otherwise he gets distracted with all the players running around.

No need to hate the guy all the time. He's a relatively poor fit, but can be useful. We will see how he performs under a different manager in a different position.
