Highly doubt Laporta is responsible for player signings. He should give his OK for the economically impactful signings, like Haaland, but players like Aguero and Depay should be handled by the sporting management.

Ideally sporting management does the due diligence in conjunction with the coaching staff to identify short to long-term objectives/targets but naive to assume a President is not involved since all of them serve the President of the club who in turn decides for the club

IMHO, this is a perfect balance at Barca that worked great with Txiki & Pep

This will not be something like RM & Flo with a dictatorship much less a crook like Bartomeu/Rosell, we are in good hands

If they get Aguero to satisfy Leo, or if they pay him very much or see him as a primary solution for #9 for years, then maybe they are in the wrong.
But Aguero played from the bench for a few years now and he still has some world class qualities and should not destroy too much in terms of combinations/lackluster technique/unintelligent movement. For the right price he can be a great transfer!

Exactly: Suarez copy and that's what it makes it so hard to bench him for the CL games when they play every LaLiga game.
